  • I've reached peak lazy.

    Instead of doing manual adjustments for primary domain counts on some customer lifetime plans, I've just bumped all of the combined lifetimes (500G or larger).

    Primary domain count changes:
    Lifetime 500G - 30 domains -> 50
    Lifetime 750G - 45 domains -> 75
    Lifetime 1000G - 60 domains -> 100
    Lifetime 2000G - 120 domains -> 200

    The new limit has been applied to anyone who has already purchased one of these plans directly or had us merge their plans.

    the truth is that “only” 15 domains remain possible with the 250G lifetime.

    Yeah, the 250G plan didn't change - that's why I didn't mention it.

    The larger plans just became better deals for those who have them or want them :smile:

  • Will deleting a domain also delete the storage used for that domain's archive? Or is disabling archiving on that domain sufficient to delete the archive contents?

    just trying to get my head around the archiving functionality and how to manage it best

    Disabling the archive doesn't remove the usage. You can ticket and we can clean it up if need be.

  • As requested, we've put together a demo account :)

    https://demo.workspace.org/
    https://demo.crane.email/

    You can also point your own (sub) domain to it to brand it.

    The login/password resets every 4 hours. Total domain wipe.

    Downloads are 403'd to stop people abusing the file storage.

    OnlyOffice is enabled for those that want to see it.

    Ah, just people being a bit silly since it's a public demo and it's new and fancy. I triggered the cron to remake the account, you should be able to login fine now.

    Might need to cron it more often than 4 hours :P

    Any plans to anonymize senders IP in headers? Haven't tested on Webmail, but it exposes sender IP on imap.
    MXRoute(Proton, Tuta, etc) just replace originating IP and hostname with their filter server, preserving senders privacy.

    Thank you :)

    Also possibility to rename "default" folders such as "Junk E-Mail" or "Deleted Items", would be nice. In this case for aesthetics mostly, they are respected by every Email client I've used.
    Apple Push fetching would be cool too, afaik its pretty fucky to get it done nowadays.

    MXRoute falls behind with its "INBOX.spam" spam folder which is especially annoying, as its a subfolder that cannot be renamed or moved, its also not respected by any Email client I have tried it with and breaks Roundcube folder settings if you have other subfolders to Inbox present.(forum discussion). Being able to rename/change location of it, or leave it to standardized "Junk" or "Spam" would be great.
    I wish he had a thread here too so I could sperg out there about it.

  • When writing a new mail, a new windows pop up for that.
    Can you please change that?

    I've asked for them to give the ability to make it a modal instead. User choice kinda thing.

    CRANEMAS coupon is up for 20% off DA Shared/Reseller/Crates on annual/biennial/triennial billing - this is on top of the already included discounts for longer billing terms.

    --

    For those that have ticketed/messaged about the extra primary domains on CraneMail Lifetimes - you can upgrade your existing account within the billing portal to get access to the domain increase.

    Select the product, hit the upgrade/downgrade button on left side, then pick and order a larger lifetime. You'll just pay the difference between your current one and the new one.

    I've got 500/750/1000/2000G lifetimes listed on the site for upgrades, if any of you are insane enough to want higher than that - just drop a sales ticket and I'll add it. https://namecrane.com/store/email-hosting-deals

    Wanted to give CraneMail its own little moment because there was so much to talk about/show off.

    So that is where you went. Good to see you. Happy New Year.

    Merry Christmas 🎄

    Unsure if this is because I upgraded from the 250 to 500 from having an account merged early on, but as a heads up, it shows for me that it’d cost twice as much as expected to go from 500GB to 750GB. $138.84 rather than $69.42 to go up the one increment.

    CraneMail Lifetime 500G => CraneMail Lifetime 750G $138.84 USD

    Same for 500GB to 1000GB, only applies a $69.42 credit.

    I was just curious and having a look, don’t need the 750GB so I’m all OK. Just thought I’d raise it incase it needs fixing for future customers.

    Yeah. That means I forgot to upgrade your purchase price on the product when I merged it. Since I basically just delete one, then bump the other in spec it doesn't automatically change the purchase price to 138.84.

    Adding an item to my todo list to run through and update the pricing on those initial merged ones.

    On the dev side, you can now set the default language of a domain in the cranemail create/edit pages. Editing only applies it to new users, not actives. Maybe we should have a 'propagate' option?

    Is there a way for me to create an email account for a user that does not allow any incoming messages (e.g. noreply@) and instead of taking up storage or filling up a small quota, it just >/dev/null's everything? Using this address more or less as a transactional account.

    You can create a 'content filter' that just matches all emails and deletes.

    Awesome, thanks!

    To delete sent messages as well, could I just switch it to "Any condition can be met" and add a new condition From my address? (just trying to confirm they won't be deleted before actually being sent hah)

  • The activity in this thread makes me feel like I made a bad decision not to get one of these, and yet I see they are still available. I use Proton for my main email (including custom domains via SimpleLogin), and I have an mxroute flash sale ($10 every 3 years) for random other emails. Am I missing out on something great here? Am I going to regret not getting this?

  • Before I pop in a ticket: does anyone know if I can also manage all my DNS entries with Namecrane? Thing is, the dns entries of my email domain currently are managed on MyW shared hosting in DA and I need to make some entries for my self hosted Snikket instance (hosted on another vps). So I'm not gonna host any files/Snikket over at Namecrane but was wondering if I could manage all my DNS entries there, or whether I'd need to continue managing them at MyW/Namecheap and point MX to Namecrane instead.
