    IPv4 still dead.
Why would it not be if provider gave back/sold/his lease ended that network range, but didn't bother to give us new IP - I guess if you don't ticket you won't get a new IP and he won't fix WHMCS. Why would you run a sql query to find services are affected - let the user PM - maybe most of them won't and I can sell more servers than I have IPs?

Maybe because providers buy and rent IPv4 addresses from one another. There is nothing to worry about.

    Battle Report Day [iforgot]
IPv4 still dead, main/only IPv4 still listed in WHMCS as the one from sold/gave back network range, no fucks given.
IPv6 still up and down, up and down, do the flip!

But there is new red text in the control panel!

WARNING: We would like to inform you that our noVNC Console exclusively supports IPv6 connections. If your current network setup does not include IPv6, don't worry—we can offer you a VPN with full IPv6 connectivity to ensure smooth access to the console. Please feel free to reach out if you need any assistance, and we would be happy to help set everything up for you.

Holy fucking balls. Luca is gaslighting people even more. They don't announce that IP range for like two weeks, but "grace period has ended". Fucking lmao.

    Dear customer,

We inform you that the grace period for changing your dedicated IP address 208.65.87.167 associated with Service ID 2720 has ended, and the old IP address is no longer operational.

The new IP has been activated only for those who have requested it. If you have already requested the IP replacement, please reconfigure your VPS network with the new IP address to ensure service continuity.

You can manually update the configuration by editing the file located in /etc/netplan after pressing "Reconfigure Network" in the client area or you can perform a complete reinstallation of the system.

If you have not yet requested the IP replacement, we urge you to do so as soon as possible to restore IPv4 connectivity.

and yet again I need to open a ticket to have a working service... fuck no :D Lets wait for renewal and see if it will auto-renew broken stuff that they are well aware it's broken.

You need to replace IPv4 automatically for all your customers affected.
It's not normal to have to contact support to get a service up and running.
The specifications you have sold must remain available for the duration of the contract.

  • @cochon said: Is that just a pre-arranged date or something else?

Sorry, I didn't read your comment.
The IPv4 would have been immediately replaced at the Customer's request. Otherwise, it would have taken about 30 days to replace it (it is clear that in any case we would have replaced it), as stated in the first communication, but the grace period during which both IPv4s were active (old and new IP), to allow for a faster replacement, was granted only for a few days, to our disadvantage.

    this

It's simple: for some reason our kid can't have that original IP range anymore and asked his mom for a new one. But he has to migrate all current users to the new range. Every descent provider would allocate new IPs to users and communicate with the customers that they'd have a grace period in which both are available. Not Luca. His "AI" came up with another solution: let the users ask for it with a grace period. Trouble is: almost nobody asks. So AI came up with a solution: mess up connectivity to the old range so people are more willing to ask. And AI also mentioned that that would be a very good scheme, because every user not being able to use the service is potential money to be made.

That’s exactly the strategy in my opinion
And since its services are unstable, very few people were motivated to apply. I didn't.
For me at this stage it becomes a scam. I'm not going to be tolerant again.
