It's tough for everybody not only teens. However, I agree he probably made a mistake to exchange new players especially for penalties when the match almost finished. This was too short, he should have allowed them like 10-15mins. to relieve tension.

Notably, Southgate made two subs near the end, and they all missed. (Rashford and Sancho)

I assume those subs were specifically for the pen shootout.

Oh for sure, I'm not saying all England fans are like that but this Euro showed that sadly a few tar drops in the honey pot ruin it for everyone.
