Congrats FAT32 ! I think you have had some luck .
Bad match for spain. But like in discord said congrats to mikho and sweden . well done .
Thanks Chievo, I thought Spain was supposedly a very strong team... perhaps COVID situation really affected them to have very little time for training, kinda surprised to see it is 0-0 FT
Edit: A lot of surprise in this Euro Cup so far
食之无味 弃之可惜 - Too arduous to relish, too wasteful to discard.
Spain has been on a downward trajectory for some years now.
Traditionally, Spain national team roster is mainly made up with players from Real Madrid and Barcelona. And both clubs have been sucking. Neither club has been producing youth talents.
Ansu Fati is probably the only future prospect but the dude is a glass cannon.

Christian Eriksen currently plays for Inter Milan, a club in Italy. Their Serie A league has a rule where any players with a history of cardiac arrest (or any heart problems) cannot play. That's their law.
He has a decision to make. He needs to either retire or move to another club. His current wage level means his options are very limited. It's either to Spain or UK.

I guess he is going to leave the professional football . I mean after such experience the most intelligent option would be make a normal life and not risk another bad experience.
I believe in good luck. Harder that I work ,luckier i get.
A sensible choice would be to retire. He is only 29 with a young partner + very young kids (2). His family should come first.
At the same time, a footballer's money-making lifespan is rather short. Most of footballers have to make money where losers like us have to make for our entire lives within 15 years or so. Being 29 and being a midfielder, he can potentially play up to around age of 36 at very high wage.
That's a lot of money being lost.
A middle ground would be that Ajax could take him on as a coach. Wage will be low but better than nothin'.
Spurs could also offer the same but Spurs aren't known for that kind of thing. Their chairman is a bellend.

@deank said: At the same time, a footballer's money-making lifespan is rather short.
I can see Inter Milan paying his wages until his contract ends, would he choose to retire. They would certainly do that if he's forced to retire, because at this moment no one knows if he can play football at a professional level ever again.
@deank said: A middle ground would be that Ajax could take him on as a coach.
I can see this happening too. If he still can play football I also can see him playing for Ajax again. The salary will be a lot less (but still round 2.5M EUR/y). Especially because Ajax player (and Eriksens close friend) Daley Blind has cardiac problems too. He collapsed twice in a game against Valencia in 2019. So Ajax has some experience with this.
For some teams, the last games have already been like a final. They already know their participation in the Euro2020 will end next week. Leaves us to the matches of group F today before the last matches of the group phase are starting.

Sweden 2 - 1 Poland
Slovakia 0 - 1 Spain
First goal scorer Sweden: Alexander Isak Marcus Berg
First goal scorer Spain: Alvaro Morata
Team to receive the first yellow card: Spain
Edit: Removed Berg as mikho mentioned that he won't be playing, but if he is in I believe he will get 1 goal for Sweden (Might not be the first one, and this is not a bet but just saying )

England - Germany is a final-like match. Will be close and difficult for both but England might win because they play in London. For some reasons the home teams (though not really home teams) have been more successful. Low odds..

Cant say I was impressed by Germany in the game against Hungary.
On the other hand, England is neither as good as I expected.
It will be a tight, physical game.
Belgium - Portugal is another tight game, and ofcourse, the game between Sweden and Ukraine.

I can't sleep well last night and while I was checking my phone it was France 0-1 Switzerland and I was like how is France losing?
I watched it for about 20 minutes and France got 3 goals and the score is now 3-1. I was like: Phew it is already 75', France should win the match.
This morning when I wake up and see the result it is 3 (4) - 3 (5) and France lost the match, Mbappe missed the penalty!? So many surprises this Euro 2020

Spain was hanging on a thin thread against Croatia but finally managed with 2 goals in extra time.
Todays games will bring even more action.
England - Germany
Two great teams (at least historically), this could just as well have been the Final.
I see the same generation change in both these teams as you mentioned in France.
Sweden - Ukraine
Sweden have had what, 35% ball possesion on average in their previous games.
Built with mantra that no man is bigger than the team. No real star player (few youngsters who will play in big clubs innthe future), all hard workers.
Ukraine, a team built by players from Schakthar Donetsk and FC Dynamo Kyiv and already have the team spirit since they already play together on a daily basis.
Add a couple of ”stars” from other clubs and you have a strong team.
This game will be a battle of physic, the teams who has the best stamina will win.

The current nations with so-called "golden generation" are Belgium, England, and France.
For Belgium, this is the last chance before some of their elites will retire.
