Well I have some good new and bad news for you.
The good news is that node TPAZ003 is not down.
    https://status.virm.ac/?s=62db717ae694aa58bb736097

The bad new is that you are still down when the node is up.

I purchased one that got deployed to TPAZ002. It's been offline since it was created. But I just clicked boot and it booted up.

Maybe it's just a thing with Tampa VPS orders that they are deployed not powered on? (shrug)

You missed the deal and you got the one after.

I ordered it straight away? are they limited in stock? Its bs if it sold out and i was given the next one at $47.36

You should have been charged $17.39 If your invoice shows $47.36 then I would argue for getting it.

EDIT: I missed part of your question.... Yes some are very limited stock. But like I said see what it says on your invoice.

It is an automated provisioning system. There are bugs being worked out. Humans go behind the machines checking what things did not work correctly and fixing the mistakes manually. It takes a little time but I would expect you will be sorted. You should get the VPS you paid for or be refunded if they are not able to fulfill your order. It would seriously surprise me if VirMach says "you have the 3/3267/25 in Seattle and we are going to charge you $47.36/yr for it." What I said is all assuming that you were billed $47.36.

These offers are extremely bare-bone already, likely oversold and without support. It is indeed a horrific joke to even think about reducing it further by exploiting the billing system.

The bad new is that you are still down when the node is up.

Yes, I knew that already after the troubleshooter debug data.

Do you have any understanding of the cause ?

No, the service was activated 24 hours after the payment, it appears offline since its activations.

Did it happen after doing a particular thing or did it not come back up after the node issue on or about Dec 14th ?

The service was ordered on December 24, activated on December 25. only thing I've tried was power it on, via Virmach user panel and minutes later, via Solusvm control panel. None of both seems to work.

Do you think that we here might have a helpful suggestion to get you going if you gave us more information ?

Yes and I believe the recreation of the VM will fix the issue, instantly.

Of course if you feel it is better to wait on the VirMach support ticket I completely understand.

Don't mind to share VM information.

Thanks for getting back to me with all the info. You seem to have run thru the checklist under the yellow "Issue New Service" button and it still does not even show online. I expect you are correct and Virmach will need to fix or recreate your VM on his end. I have one that I recently purchased on PHXZ001 with similar issues. I personally have not made a ticket for this as I expect that it will be taken care of automatically as VirMach make his rounds checking that all the VMs created properly. However I am not in a rush for provisioning, and you are, so I completely understand why you ticketed regarding this issue.

Please tell me why TYOC035 can offline with disk issue twice in 3 month?

Very high "you fixed my computer and now every time it breaks it's because of the thing you did 3 months ago" vibes. Not everything is related in the same exact way. This time it's even worse.

But if it is hardware broken for the disk, maybe you better consider to change not fix.

Perfect time @VirBOT - it's not like it's 3-5 AM in Europe now

Haven't bought a single service in VirMach Great Ryzen 2022 - 2023 Flash Sale.

  • When I had a VM with VirMach it idled for a whole year. Reinstalled a few times, had to open a ticket to get those windows reinstall done (part of the instructions they gave at the time).

Never used for production, specially due to the fair share policy. I cant run stuff with fear of having something suspended. I prefer to just pay dedicated servers or VM with dedicated cores that I can blast 24/7.

But I bet it would be a good VPN or jump box. Would use for stuff like that for sure. Or if dedicated cores were available as addons in the special offers.

  • That AUP of VirMach:
"High I/O: Customer’s Service cannot average more than 80 IOPS within any two (2) hour period"
    Is that a misprint?

  • JabJab TOP Member 2027

@hornet said: Is that a misprint?

Yes and No. Those are old HDD limits, VirMach said they need to update those and they have much higher limits for kill-scripts now... but it's still there so can be used against you! ;')

However I don't recall anyone coming here (or there) complaining about "I was unjustifiably suspended" except few abusers that (like the one in this thread earlier that went nuts and because he did not use whole bandwidth he thinks it was okey :D)

When it reach 7T of 8T , I stop this service, but still suspended by virmach (...)

He managed to use 7TB of bandwidth within 2 days while going nuts on disk and he thinks it's okey :D

Stop transferring servers to Frankfurt, stay in Amsterdam!

Haven't bought a single service in VirMach Great Ryzen 2022 - 2023 Flash Sale.

Just like communicating vessels, we cannot stop liquid (or neighbours) from eventually balancing out to the same level :P

Ya should not expect that from Virmach. E5 relatively dedi core cost $5/month each, Ryzen for $15.

Don't know whether LVM could support network filesystem

My purchase in the Virmach's 2022 Promo is my worst decision ever. Purchased on Feb or Mar. I thought that if they invested that much money for the hardware & co-location, their service should be top-notch. So I purchased a few Ryzen VPS and 2 storage VPS in LA and Amsterdam.
After a few weeks, I finally realized my stupid decision so I opened a ticket to request refund on all pending VPS. However, they said that they don't allow multiple refunds and I have to choose one VPS. So, I requested a refund for the LA storage VPS.
A few month ago, they sent me a ticket and said that my AMS storage has to be relocated to New York or refunded. I happily choose the refund option.
In conclusion, instead of losing ~$300 for 2 storage VPS and a few Ryzen VPS, I can get around $200 refunded. The remaining Ryzen VPS are still functional with some downtime.

When it reach 7T of 8T , I stop this service, but still suspended by virmach after a week. If virmach limited network , It should list detail rules, and should not just suspended it without any warning msg, and even not rely TK for 3 month.

It is not about the quota but the network speed / bandwidth, you do realize the total bandwidth available in a single node (that hosts tens or hundreds of VPS) is 1Gbps right? This means at the same time your neighbor in the same node will get poor connection speed

I am not sure about why the ticket is not replied or got suspended without warning, but I would recommend throttle a bit when you run your application in the future

So the user's VPS of Virmach can be shut down without any clear indication, and even without the possibility to access the data. I don't know of any other IDC besides Virmach that would dare to treat their customers this way. Maybe only in Virmach.
