@toor said: FYI The Dragon-R Trophy MRR just dropped for $11.38 a month.
...all 5 of them... at once... for only 6 minutes.
I thought it will use the same system as the others and only drop one at a time, but I got disappointed when I randomly open a web page and showed that all of them are already claimed. Oh well, I guess I wait for at least 2 more months when the StreamBox tier box arrives based on my rough calculations (the other ongoing claim milestone is useless for my usage) and worst case scenario I'll just buy the 0.5G SSD one.
Oh, it's almost 2 months and it already reached the 750 valid claims required for StreamBox tier. Can't wait to... not get those at all cuz' at the time I manually browse and order one it will be already out of stock!

Yea many are selling a lot, and i thinkg the 1TB 10G is going away for a bit --- Simply because that server group has sooo many users and we have the 1G pool with plenty of capacity to sell.
Replacement would be 1TB Seedboxes with 1Gbps port with 10TB/Month Traffic for 1.99€ / month, or something different?
Just curious, what are your thoughts on why the Seedbox 1TB/10Gbps is so popular, out selling all others by 2 to 1.
Is it just a really good deal or something else? Since seedboxes are your bread and butter. IDK, just find that stuff interesting.

Something like that. Might give more traffic from the 1G pool tho, since it's the burst speeds which could be worrysome for the node cache. Doesn't even show up on our traffic charts tho. Funny enough, this whole campaign barely moved the needle on traffic charts, which is extremely peculiar.
It is cheapest seedbox there is and the default safe choice, it offers the blend of each, performance and capacity. and since it started selling strong, it remains the favorite.
@PulsedMedia said: Funny enough, this whole campaign barely moved the needle on traffic charts, which is extremely peculiar.
I threw some Debian ISOs torrents on a new storage box to test it out and accidentally burned through my high spedd traffic limit for the month. 😆 so I'm doing my part.
Though, sadly my Dragon-R Trophy network UP seems capped at 1Gbps ( Ticket #066299)

As i understood from pulsedmedia support they only lower your port speed when you hit your traffic limit. From 10G to 1G sounds still not bad.

Was tempted to buy the storage but 250GB is kinda low.. esp. if you have 4tb of storage
@bugabuga said:

It was suppose to be just an archive drive ala glacier or "mounted" as another drive with the regular seedbox since internal traffic between their servers is unmetered and not counted (tho good luck doing that cuz' on the mismatched disk IO, it can really grind file performance if not careful).
@bugabuga said:
So is the storage plan the same as the seedbox? like are you able to torrent or is the torrent client disabled?
The ruTorrent features are enabled, however note you are incredibly limited by external traffic limits (at full speed) If you see yourself transferring lots of traffic, consider the Seedboxes.

Upload is unlimited. Also internal traffic is unlimited. Perfect for scraping and downloading big files that you dont need locally.
I signed up for the SSD Seedbox 0.5TB 10G on August 1st, 2026, and my account has had provisioning problems from day one. cgroup resources (CPU, RAM, disk) all provisioned lower than the plan is supposed to give. Most of those issues have now been resolved, which I appreciate, but it's taken a long time and I still have one remaining. Current Ticket #753515.
My disk has a hard IOPS limit applied to my account (visible via blkio.throttle). My benchmarks hit that configured number exactly, every run. The wiki says this shouldn't be there. The Disk Priority page (wiki.pulsedmedia.com, "Seedbox and Storage Box Disk Priority") states there's "no artificial speed cap throttling you to your tier when the disk is free," and that plan tiers only determine your share via BFQ weights during actual contention.
What's frustrating is that AI support has flipped on this within a single ticket: first called the limit a misconfiguration and said removal was the fix, then raised the numbers, and now says the limit is "part of the tier configuration." That directly contradicts the wiki it points me at. Other users on shared hosts are running the same plan without any such limits. I've seen benchmarks from @rad964 on the identical SSD Seedbox 0.5TB posting IOPS numbers that are impossible under the cap applied to my account. So it's not a plan-wide rule it's sitting on my account.
Benchmark run below. If the plan is supposed to have no IOPS ceiling per the wiki this should be a quick fix.

It's a shared port speed for the box, but yes throttling does kick in https://wiki.pulsedmedia.com/wiki/Pulsed_Media_Traffic_Limits
My plan is misconfigured, it should be a 20 Gbps port, only getting 1Gbps up and haven't hit my traffic limit.
