I'll also provide some bad news, it seems like this time around the luck has run out, as a lot of them (maybe half) landed on servers that are almost out of memory and relatively high CPU usage (nothing crazy on the CPU, but high enough to where pushing them into something like 4 to 6 cores could be a problem.) This means those got the two "depending on node" resource changes of disk and bandwidth which I assume would be less popular AND it makes it more difficult to do the dealer's mystery for them since I have to keep that in mind now. It's also kind of weird because we already boosted the two specs most likely to be available and now we have to do something else, which just means making it more lopsided or assigning the least available resources.
I think this is the universe confirming I'm a terrible gambler and don't know how to do it. I originally planned to start with a candle #3 VPS and continue most of the other days if things seemed promising.

And my solution to the resource problem described was to pool everything together and if it was taken away from one, we tried giving it to another that had bad luck and got literally nothing as a result of bad luck in the process.

nice! thanks. i've been keeping tabs on Tokyo for a while, so i have a vague idea of how it's like. that said, since dealer decides; any chance of negotiating for additional 1 GB RAM?

We pay a lot for the network with FLEX. It's the datacenter's blend. Previously when we were with Dedipath, they mixed in a single carrier into it to save money. I haven't really looked into it but I assume they're either expensive because of a combination of (1) price-gouging, and (2) actually putting in more expensive carriers into their blend.

Okay for yours I'm going to reveal some of the procedure that occurred in the background for all of these. Could be fun.
You landed on ATLZ032 which got your RAM changed to 2560MB and your CPU changed to 2. Then I go through your account and grab statistics from it and plug it into a spreadsheet. These numbers aren't what you'll be getting but they're the suggested "stage 1" numbers. Then it goes through two wheel spins that could royally mess things up or make them better. These are based on each individual account.
Half the Price (this is on a second roll not the same)
So the opposite of halving the price is doubling the price.
So @msatt that means you ended up receiving this in the end, but if you want to renew it, this would be 2x the original price. In this case you're also allowed to (1) obviously not renew it, (2) ask me to revert it to what you got for day 5 only which is 2560MB, 2TB BW, 2 Core, 25GB and keep the price the same.

Beyond that, they have a good global footprint of PoPs to handle traffic. So instead of all traffic to one data center and drop, it's riding their network backbone to Atlanta.
If you wait 10 seconds and look at the MTR's (click show) you'll see it enters the flex network very close to the origin server. Then rides Flex's backbone to Atlanta.
In some cases you'll see they peer with NetActuate via their Comcast connection. I usually hate 'house blends' but this is a very very good house blend, especially with traffic entering their network all around the US, not taking transit to Atlanta. Quite impressive tbh.
In this entire time zero packet loss from China APAC mainland. Very impressive.

I had a bunch of VMs in Dallas when you were with FLEXENTIAL and I remembered all the issues there. That is the reason I never did much in Atlanta because they were also FLEXENTIAL. I just have a small one in Atlanta that I don't use very much. Recently my Miami started having an issue with it's HE IPv6 tunnel so I am looking for a SE US / Central America replacement. Now with both you and @Kris saying their network is good I can move my stuff over from Miami and stop worrying about the issues HE seems to have with Quadranet.

I have noticed the He Quadranet thing lately as well. Not sure it is not intentional considering the rumblings over the years.
It's been incredibly stable blend and Arelion + Comcast + peering Comcast has seems very impressive in this location. I do a lot of network monitoring due to some fintech clients we have, so we need to show them from 4-5 locations things are 'OK' sometimes.
