In this case, 10 business days equals 20 weeks.

The correct way of changing transit is connecting new transit provider a few days before disconnecting removing old transit provider.
Likewise, the correct way of changing IP address is adding new IP address a few days before removing old IP address.

20 minutes downtime (and counting) is not a slowdown, is not a disconnection and is not a short latency issue.

Anyway, before the remarks come out that "we're busy with it": testing should be done so that customers aren't affected, and when everything is working, then you should make the switch, and that could be done smoothly. Customers are NEVER guinea pigs - even if you make a remark that it is a "low end offering and not for production purposes" (which remark wasn't made when I obtained my VPS).

A total disrespect for customers. And I know Luca that you are reading this - even though you tend not respond to critical remarks as if you're not reading it. Sending a mail saying things like I mentioned above about the disruptance is way different als de 1,5 hour of no connection that customers experienced. Don't point to that mail as if it was announced.
