$13 Xeon Dedis from OneProvider
For those that crave cheap dedicated servers like myself I've just noticed OneProvider has restocked a couple of the cheaper Xeon E3-1220's in France. Currently only $13 p/mnth for the 8GB RAM & x2 TB HDD's with another offer for 16GB RAM & x2 450GB SAS HDD's

What network are these on?
No idea to be honest but the AUP page mentions the "BrainStorm Network" - https://oneprovider.com/about-us/acceptable-usage-policy
I've ordered one of the 8GB Xeons so I'll be able to check once it's delivered

Quite tempting to be honest!
These seem to be old online.net boxes, I remember renting one quite a few years back (the MegaRAID HW RAID was the most peculiar characteristic).
Paris and Amsterdam are Online.net (resold via OneProvider). Network is usually pretty good but everything else is meh (depending on the hardware config). Be wary of their support and if you have a hardware problem, be prepared to get a separate/new box and reinstall/transfer-data - there's almost no hope of getting a fix "in-place".
If it ain't broke, things will work (as well as they can for the configs).
13$ is sold out....
Too tempting! See what the $17 box performs like.
Looks like there might've been a few ppl watching for these or just low stock to start maybe

If the 13$ machine had at least 16gig of memory so you could use it for something.

As mentioned most servers in Paris and Amsterdam with Fair Usage traffic are resold from Online.net.
Depending on the actual destination, their network connectivity can be usable (or not).
However you may also find offers in Amsterdam with a certain amount of traffic included. Those are most likely resold from LeaseWeb (with pretty decent connectivity).

I bought one last week.
It's a Dell PowerEdge R210 II
Memory is a single stick of 8GB Samsung DDR3-1333 ECC
Storage on mine is 2 x 1TB TOSHIBA MG03ACA100 power on hours disk 1:6300 disk 2: 5200 think the HW raid is PERC H200.
It is all okay I totally understand.

anyone here tried their ATOM CPU servers?
Old atoms are garbage
Amadex • Hosting Forums • root.hr
oh okay so those 8c/8t atoms suck too? lol
The 2350s are pretty low end but network wise they're good. The 2750s are pretty decent. If you want a relatively no-contention network pipe, go for whatever config works for you.
Had one from Online.net over a decade ago, ran Windows p well but would suck today
That's about same territory as a raspberry 5? idk...about that one for 13 a month
That is the $13 one E3-1220 V2 8GB ram.
Edit I re-read the message think I might of miss-interpreted it think you might be saying doubting the value of it instead.
Double post
Yup, I had the Atom and ditched it for the $13 goodness
Its a crime to sell atom in 2024

The only people I know selling dedicated rasp pi 5's are Dataideals - who are out of stock & only provide a 64gb boot drive. So for the $7 more I'll take the extra 1936GB of storage.

Don't suppose anybody has any of the $17 ones yet?
$13 xeon is available!!
Go get it
for the price of the $13, I would prefer getting a RS 1000 G11 from nutcup, it would be like night and day other than the storage.
@Not_Oles buy the $13 dollar one and let us test it lol
Yo kid you can't just expect (or ask) someone to buy a dedi for you.
I have 4 servers with NC and LOVE them. Most recent is their ARM offering, VPS 1000 ARM G11.
Also: nutcup? LMFAO!
ik mate i was just joking
$13 box is in stock again if you were still looking for one.

Awesome got one man Thank You!
The Yeti has left the building.
It's listed at $13.10. That extra 10 cents destroys the deal. /s
$17.04 deal is back with 2x2tb sata
Hi, any recommendations on how to access the iPMI/ KVM HP iLO3? Unfortunately my system is a little too modern to handle it.
I tried installing Firefox 35 portable and that seemed to show the IPMI. But the Java applet does not seem to work. Another option is to have jnlp downloaded, but openwebstart also fails.
Any thoughts?

That may be tough to get my hands on for sometime. Anything else?
you may need to install a older java binary, like java7 or something by googling a bit.
I run HPLOCONS in a Windows VM. Googling should get you a link
These old toasters are increasingly a pain in the butt, even old browsers/old Java runtimes are a nightmare.
What worked for me recently: if you find an old Android pad/smartphone (like Android 3/4), install an old version of the HP 'iLO Console' app (e.g. 1.05.6). YMMV
Happy customer at AlexHost, AxusHost, Bakker-IT, Host-C, Ionos, Veesp + NanoKVM ftw.
I actually found it yesterday by chance. But it seems my kvm freezes over. But definitely it's a god send
I'll try that too
Does anyone know if you can transfer OneProvider dedis?
On top of that if you can transfer them & anyone has one of the $17 16GB boxs they no longer want I'd be interested in grabbing that as they upped the price of them to $20+ now
cum laude bongineering
Last heard they don't allow transfers (2023).
Damn I thought these were fixed price.
They're fixed at the price you buy them at, but for some reason they're changing the 'sale' price of them constantly so they're at $20 to get a new box right now.
cum laude bongineering
Yeh.
My 17$ dedi (2tbx2) is having some trouble with kvm. I hope they are able to sort it out...
Try Avoro.eu they are also great, same spec
