Moved this thread out of Exclusive Offers since this same deal is available elsewhere, but still falls within pricing limits to be allowed in the Offers category.

Why y'all going back after Ramnode spurned us? They only gonna break yo' heart all over again.
Can you elaborate?

Nekki used to be my girlfriend.
She's caught sleeping with Murv, so I broke up with her.
Now she comes back wanting to restart our relationship, and promises not to sleep with other boys over next three years.
Shall I trust her?

You don't have to ask me twice. In for 1 of each! Thank you @nessa!
can we have debian 11?
can we have OpenVZ 9 soon?
I bench YABS 24/7/365 unless it's a leap year.
Murv and I never did anything, why can't you believe that?
OVZ9- Would love to test it out. Been reading up on it- looks like OVZ8 got the boot sooner than expected. Any offers anyone may be aware of -?

Ordered. Great deal, and it's exactly what I need for a small project.

what is openvz?
OpenVZ is a Linux-based virtualization platform, and it can only run Linux-based operating systems such as Centos, Fedora, Debian...etc.
OpenVZ Virtualization users are not able to do any kernel modifications. All virtual servers have to get along with the kernel version the host runs on.
OpenVZ servers usually run faster and are suitable for small projects.

Should make that clear.

bump for sweet deals, i'll buy more when there's a jaw-dropper kvm deal.
I ain’t reading all that, but I’m happy for you though. Or sorry that happened.
I recently left my Ramnode 128mb VPS that cost 15$/year (I had it for 7 years), I think I will now take one of these

Very unlikely. The OVZ plans must be in legacy servers which likely had increasingly free space and could be retired along with the full OVZ line after those 3 years.
I'm talking out of my ass on this. But still I am likely right, this offer is just a nice gesture for the low end community

i could settle for Debian 11....

It is not as convenient, but it isn't terribly difficult to upgrade 10 t o 11. You probably know this, but for those that do not, in /etc/apt/sources.list put:
Then:
1. sudo apt-get update
2. sudo apt-get upgrade
3. sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Guys, i never used OVZ before, can you answer me:
lxc or systemd/machinectl containers will work on OpenVZ?
They both container itself, and seems that lxc can't work on OpenVZ because of lxbr* network interface can't be created, but what about machinectl (i know its not popular but may be someone have experience with it)?
If you're talking about doing some sort of nested containerization, no, that won't work on OpenVZ. DM me and I'll find you something!

I have some problems with firewall. I use a script to automate the installation of the rules and in the end i have a VPS non reachable. So digging on the net i got this:
https://techsch.com/tutorials/resolve-iptables-no-chain-target-match-name
So is it correct to think that is there an uncompiled module into the kernel? Specifically CONFIG_NETFILTER
Or do I need to activate it in some way?
This is OpenVZ thing - kernel is 'shared' across node server and VPS-es, you can't just add something locally.
So if some modules are not installed you simply can't use them. Most of the times you ask your provider (ticket!
) if they can install something on the node. Most of the times they say yes, sometimes they say no.
I would suggest checking that automated script you using and check what modules are missing @kokkez so you won't open 3 tickets for "Hey, I neeed
<x>" - then it fails later aty, so you go "Hey, I need<y>also", then it fails atzand you go 3rd ticket "It's me again, I need<z>!" and provider is already mad on you - a lot of manual work for 12$ VPS per year.Haven't bought a single service in VirMach Great Ryzen 2022 - 2023 Flash Sale.
Please open a ticket with us, our staff should be able to help with this.

same prob, same great response time. perhaps it should be standard on lowend deal packages to save csr time though, lol

tried a few templates and they have apache2 installed by default. is this normal?
I bench YABS 24/7/365 unless it's a leap year.
I kept most of the openvz templates as-is, some of them do have Apache installed by default. I was considering removing it from the spec and rebuilding

What's your policy on torrent and VPN?
I had to cancel one of the VPS because the templates are not clean, and having issues installing basic control panels. I have tried all the templates, but all have problems of some sort. I don't know if it's the templates or it's OpenVZ. Unfortunately, this is something I can't use for web projects. I do have one for a VPN. Just my two cents.
