As for the simultaneous shutdown of the three shitbirds mentioned in the OP - that definitely reeks of the typical (alleged) CC front company exit scam. But kind of ... I dunno, how to say ... stupidly brazen.
I have not seen fit to dig into any of the drama, just saw the news (mentioned just now in that never-ending virmach flash sale thread still going since 2018) - and for whatever reason I just thought it would be a fine idea to drag some bits of that fresh corpse back here for people to poke at with a stick, should anyone feel so inclined

I wonder why do people even sign up with such scams? Those who are starting discussions on LET having received such emails obviously are clients of those companies. If you have so much money to spare then please donate it to some charity instead of CC

It is true that the amount is small, but if you combine all of those small changes and see the long list of shell companies, you can tell that whoever is behind it is clawing in a fair amount of money.

well, it was pretty clear it was a one man show, probably 2, as fabozzi is busy so he paid some guy to edit the wordpress templates
anyway, i felt something was different when i saw 2 offers that did not match the pattern, Hyper Expert in New York, and SteadyVPS a host from Europe, thats when I realized they changed the strategy after Black Friday
anyway, it does not matter, he saw its not working anymore, the traffic is going down, nobody is buying, so next year they will come up with another scam, right now they are probably trying to rebuild the reputation of LEB using normal hosts, so they can start milking again after
there could be also other theories, that fabozzi had an epiphany or that someone reported them and the IRS came down to check, but thats just wishful thinking, as he would say: "Scam must go on" (Freddie Mercury)

Steady is an 'unknown' company according to @teamacc, I was sleep-posting, they are not run by CC, but probably got promoted for buying from them, the English on the website sucks so this is how I figured it was not an american doing it

I admire the effort you put into tracking CC's various shell hosts, and I am indignant at their blatant scamming, but at this point I am just tired of the drama on the old forum, even from a schadenfreude kind of view.
They've been doing this for a while.
Plenty of offers get put up as "Los Angeles Datacenter", "Dallas Datacenter", etc, but its just CC.
Sometimes they list the building address instead.
They never mention its CC when they do that though.

This site has the intention to list all companies listed at LowEndBox / LowEndTalk that are either about to deadpool or have already deadpooled (including scams hosted by ColoCrossing).
As of April 2019, it is pretty safe to say that all hosts listed at LowEndBox are a scam at best (except for QuadraNet and Virmach).
This illustrates wonderfully what a horrible bunch of scumbags those people at ColoCrossing/Deluxe are. I am very glad that I no longer contribute to LET and left the place. Shall it burn down to ashes.

Drama and speculation aside, it's a good idea to compile a list of the shell companies for the record as a buyer beware PSA. While this isn't new for old forum regulars, LEB might still get linked on reddit or other sites, milking its former reputation as a legitimate place to get cheap server deals.
Of the list, I recall UMaxHosting was discussed on the old forum before when it first appeared as the prime example of the 3-year prepaid scheme (shortly after the AlphaRacks episode), though I hadn't been really following the story. While communities can't prevent people from pursuing the bottom of the barrel, drawing attention to these schemes may have saved some lurkers their money even if we never hear about those close calls. I guess you could call me an idyllic optimist.
This same thing has been going on for years, just sadly another CC scam which is quite bad. Would be interesting to see more details come to light on this.
