Hey guys, as I tend to say now with my offers, not the best deal around, but for someone who has a good use maybe this will be interesting enough. KVM VPS plans in Miami, Florida can get 40% off recurring until the end of this month, December 31st.

    Promotion Code: VP43SYOMK8
    https://extravm.com/billing/cart.php?gid=37

    Example plan with discount:

    3GB RAM
    2 CPU Cores (Ryzen 3900X)
    45GB NVMe SSD
    10TB Bandwidth @ 10Gbps
    DDoS Protected
    $9 / month

Miami location uses ReliableSite's network and DDoS protection. If you need something maybe for South America low latency or DDoS protection and higher bandwidth it's pretty alright.

I usually throw proxmox on any VPS I get with 1GB or more, everything I do is all in lxc containers for easy management, super lightweight.

I could install proxmox within proxmox on a KVM guest and nest it until some kind of nesting limit is reached (wonder if such thing exists?) But.. with a fair share nature of storage servers like this, I'd feel like I would generate a bit more than my fair share of burden.

I noticed proxmox have a backup server product, maybe I'll look into using this box for that..

I noticed proxmox have a backup server product, maybe I'll look into using this box for that..

FYI it works well, I've been using it on Debian base with 512mb ram (installed via Proxmox's official repos) since beta with no problems at all.

Thanks for that! I install proxmox off debian base also and am happy to hear it's possible with the backup server. It's on my to-do list now haha

Only advice I can give on that is that a few people have been io limited running proxmox backup server due to verify running constantly. They have all been able to resolve that but gave no specific detail.

I would say that that's the garbage collection and verification tasks on the datastore - they smash CPU and I/O.

Yeah you've completely put me off using that now. The whole aim of my setup is to have a very light footprint on CPU and especially IO...

My hostsolutions Romanian fun box seems to handle it OK  I just change the GC to be way less frequent.. also have a letbox 1gb box which it runs fine on, that CPU obviously has a little more grunt that the fun box :P It does really integrate well with pve - In all honesty, check it out - well worth it, the GC/verification is super easy to tweak.

  • Actually what happened was, you were sent this email after your 1st order:

If your order has been placed on hold for manual review or marked as a fraud risk then do not place another order or try to register another account, this will result in your account being closed and being banned from any service in the future, should you choose to ignore this email and our terms by registering another account or placing an additional order no discussion will be entered in to you will simply be pointed to this email.

Then you placed 3 more orders as well as opening a ticket with a hidden department to bypass the Christmas break requirements then sent me a PM on the forum for support ignoring the specific request in my signature and on my profile not to use the forum PM system as a support system or Inception hosting, all the while reducing the available stock for anyone else that might want to order.

Perhaps it is a language barrier which is fine but if you are ignoring that much you can't possibly have even skirted over the basic terms regarding billing address accuracy which is the likely reason your first order was rejected.

All that has happened is what was told to you would happen upon your first order today, trying to essentially brute force an order through is not a good practice.

As aside from that you have also had 2 other accounts closed in the past, one for pretty much the same thing.

I would suggest perhaps you are not a great fit, nothing personal, it might be best if you find an alternative host.

Please do not use the PM system here for Inception Hosting support issues.

I am sorry for my mistake that I didn't see or pay attention to If your order has been placed on hold for ....
I've reordered multi times because I need a storage VM and I see you offer a limited quantity nice deal
to not lose the opportunity I tried to order multi times in the hope that one order will pass the fraud verification
also for the same reasons, I opened a support ticket, please accept my sincere apology for the inconvenience also I didn't have any idea that an order placed as fraud will reduce the available stock sorry for that
but also some provider using annoying fraud verification system placed all Africa as a scam and anybody live in Africa as scammers and that will be confusing for some users especially for a super limited deal I wish you all the best @AnthonySmith
