Well if I am willing to cover 75% of the initial cost of say an extra 128GB of DDR4 ECC Ram upfront then it gives providers confidence I want the server long term and reduces their risk and allows them to offer better prices.

So essentially it means I am buying a lower monthly cost. essentially a massive setup fee.

Then you’ll need a /24, you can’t simply “announce” a single IP, the minimum is /24 (256 IPs)
