I bought an OVZ1024 UK package (it's running on node VZ24) and there's some sort of mismatch between the Ubuntu images and the OpenVZ configuration, since I cannot properly install ufw. after doing a bit of research, this seems to have been a wide problem in 2014 or 2015, but I have never experienced it myself with any other OpenVZ provider even when they were using OpenVZ 6.

@AnthonySmith, can you please confirm that the node hosting my VPS is running OpenVZ 7? cheers!
