RIPE LIR Guidance

I was thinking about registering with RIPE through LIR. can any one guide who is providing this at cost effective price. i dont any requirement for ASN or ips...will be reallocation /24 from another provider. just want it under my RIPE profile. I heard we can not apply for /24 anymore presently through LIR.

direct membership has hefty fees which doesn't justify single subnet from them...its only suitable through a LIR

what do you mean? I dont get it.
The only way to be LIR is to become a LIR there..... There is no "reseller" or Kind of nonsense.

What are you trying to Archive? Just hold a subnet you are going to purchase?
Possible you are mixing up LIR Accounts with Access Accounts?

The LIR that is renting you the IPs can create an organization object for you, if that's what you're after.

I think the RIPE terminology might have caused some confusion.

You dont want an 'LIR account' but instead you simply want a Maintainer/Org/Contact and RIPE dashboard account (not a formal LIR status)

To do this you will need to do the following

1) Register a RIPE account: https://access.ripe.net/registration
2) Create a new RIPE 'Maintainer' and 'Role' in the RIPE whois database (https://docs.db.ripe.net/Database-Support/Create-First-Role-Mntner/)
3) Create ORG object in the ripe whois database
4) Let your provider know the RIPE Mnt (maintainer) and ORG and this way the provider can delegate the IP space to your RIPE control.

This results in you, with your maintainer, having full control over the RIPE whois object being able to add/remove all aspects of the whois data as well as create domain object records (rDNS) and Route objects (IRR) for example

This will not cost any money since this is not a LIR RIPE membership
