Now the UK is literally considering a ban on VPNs (with all the solid logic and considerations you would expect) I am genuinely wondering how far this all goes.

I can't wait to live with @imok so this is no longer something I need to worry about.

Also, it seems I need to change the host of VPN server because it's being detected as malicious by Google and Cloudflare. And that's going to take like 6 months or a year.

I was going to ask if you have a sister or freind I could live with, then I realised it would be inappropriate to ask if you have a sister, then I remembered that crazy host guy that used to ask people about thier sisters and ran his hosting company from a perfume company, what was his name, is he still around?

Linux is opensource. So I feel that there will be a patch to "revert" the age restriction as soon as it comes out. I mean they did that to the ubuntu's Snap and it was still a much better option thæn this...

They make it deliberately vague to their own advantage, so if they want to fine you, or force you to action, they can.

I personally recommend that people swarm their elected officials with a billion questions and concerns, individually about every single thing that could be included, to force specifics out of them or at the very least annoy them.

I will be doing that if/when it comes to the UK.

/r/linux/: I pulled the actual bill text from 5 state age verification laws. They're copy-pasted from two templates. Meta is funding one to dodge ~$50B in COPPA fines — and the other one covers Linux.
