I've closed out of the first wheel, wait a little bit longer if you want a proper spinny animation otherwise if you want it processed sooner just give me a number between 1 and 20 for the unfun but efficient version. Okay you did already give me a number. Doing it now since you already gave a number.
Edit -- Actually nevermind the number thing won't work I already remember your number, I'm supposed to come up with a list and map it to numbers and it feels weird doing it now that I know your number. Oh cool this website just saves the first wheel when I open it back up, crisis averted.

but not the first or also did an overwrite.
Your decision since I've offered this before when i mess up a recording, do you want to take my word for it and keep your mystery, or re-do?

Leftover mysteries: If you have day 3 or day 7, a few are still being processed. That will be done either tonight or tomorrow. I'll wrap up the transfer and two left over from day 7 first and then spend some time trying to do the best for the leftovers on day 3. For now, let's at least get started on the final mystery.
Final mystery:
Coin flip per service first. Heads, two of the above, unique 1 through 7 odds per service (rolled twice.) Tails, nothing/no change.
We're having some technical difficulties in finding a coin. The closest thing I've located is a CMOS battery. I figured I said coin and even though I meant a virtual one in this case it's better to do a physical one. We may give up and do a virtual one.

Taking votes on what you guys want the first candle mystery to be... each number maps to one of them. I'm letting you guys pick the first day. Here's the list of potential mysteries, which I'll reveal the password to after the sale ends for transparency. This way I won't get blamed if we end up only having one day and you guys think I conspired to give you the worst mystery.
Disclaimer: this post does not necessarily confirm or deny that the 768MB plan tomorrow is anything but a 768MB plan.
Coin flip per service first. Heads, two of the above, unique 1 through 7 odds per service (rolled twice.) Tails, nothing/no change.
Does this mean all initial orders of Day 8 will receive the same specifications, with the only difference being whether or not the 'Coin flip' applies?

Ok yes, I'm also slightly confused...
is the worst 50% outcome... that you pay the full price and get absolutely nothing, not even the 1GB VPS?
or you get the 1GB, but just no mystery and nothing more happens or gets added... but you still have the 1GB VPS?
Day 8 order: my provisioning of VPs was within 10 minutes , now the mystery awaits.
Maybe that is the mystery- is it Day 7 or Day 8?
assuming I got day 8.. since I placed order after Virmach wrote Day 7 was closed…

Was it gmail back in the day who used to have the string 'notfemail' in the url ?
Edit: It was mail.com (thanks, Claude)
Mail.com used the string "notfemail" in their URLs after a user logged in, specifically as part of the session management.
Here's why you remember that and where to find more information:
Why "notfemail"?
Historical Context: The "notfemail" string was a seemingly random piece used in the URL as a security measure related to session handling. It was likely part of their internal system and how they uniquely identified logged-in users for their web interface.
Avoiding Caching Issues: Using a seemingly random, unique string like this can help prevent caching issues that might otherwise occur with simpler, more predictable URL patterns. Browsers and intermediate servers would treat URLs with "notfemail" differently, preventing unintentional sharing of session data.
Obfuscation: While not a form of strong security, it could also be seen as a very minor attempt at obfuscation. The non-descriptive string might make it slightly harder for a casual observer to identify what part of the URL was significant.

I'll interpret it in my next post when I do the flips. Unless it's my next next post.
There is a 50% chance of not receiving a mystery with this one right from the start. I'll let you guys guess what that could mean in terms of those who do receive one. If you do receive a mystery, it may require participation. For those requiring participation, at the end of the sale I'll make a list of invoice IDs and/or service names that need to respond to my message.
Okay so we're finally past this stage, now these are our champions that will go on to roll a (virtual) 7 sided dice, twice. Each number represents the candle day. You will receive a combo of two mysteries from day one through seven. Yes, that means twice the amount of work still left over to get to the finish line, but these are your dice rolls.

There's a lot of 2's and 3's. I hope that's good for me. Oh I just looked. It's not good for me at all.
So how it will work is, we will go in order. The order of the dice rolls matter (in some cases.) If they end up overwriting each other, that's what will happen. I'll try to bend the rules in your favor as much as possible though. Anyone who got a SEVEN roll needs to give me their order/invoice number like before to confirm if desired (keep in mind it will only be the one wheel, original version.)
For reference I'll put all of them again her:
Half the services get half price on recurring. The other half get half the amount paid returned to store credits. These will be done in order from oldest to newest purchase, and flip. So first paid order gets half recurring price (and no credit), second gets half back in store credits (and no change on recurring price) and so on.
Double all specifications.
Specifications that match what VPSBlackFriday Flash Deal would have been on the node you landed on. If it's lower, it stays the same.
Dealer's choice. I'm the dealer. Anything goes as long as it's not worse than what you purchased.
Depending on your node, two of the following: 2.5GB RAM, 2 Cores, 55GB disk, 5TB bandwidth.
Duplicate service, half price on recurring. (Not charged for first 2 years of duplicate.)
You will be provided an opportunity to re-roll your plan if desired (optional.) This is optional because it's possible you could end up with a smaller plan. This will result in a termination and re-creation. It can re-roll into any of the 9 different Christmas deals, with lower odds for larger plans. From 384MB to 5GB plans, with odds respectively being: 20%, 20%, 20%, 10%, 10%, 10%, 5%, 5%. Everyone will be asked to pick a number between 1 and 20, which each represent a 5% portion of the above (so 20%, four numbers, 10%, two numbers, 5% one number.) Random dice rolls determine which plan they represent. 20% chance it stays the same, 40% chance it's lower, 40% chance it's higher.
I've looked over it and it seems like there's 3x 3's in the second spot. Here's how I'll do the overwrite instead, at my discretion I'll take into account the original roll as a starting spot for it as much as possible (as in multiply or divide out for closest match.) If applicable? I don't know let's just start doing them and see how it looks.
I had a final surprise for this sale by the way but I forgot it. I guess it's also a surprise for me. Oh wait I think I already ruined the surprise, I remember it now, it was supposed to be done on New Year's. That's the surprise, that I forgot.

I'll just do a wheel for the rest of these instead of picking a number. Okay, focus, record the GIF and do not overwrite.
And then after that, it's dealer's choice for your second dice roll. Anything goes. I'm definitely going to opt out of doing it the complicated way I did dealer's choice in the past, that took way too long and only made sense in bulk.
Okay uhhhh... we'll reset the specs to normal. Kidding. I still want it to kind of be random, so we'll do this. I haven't looked at the node you've landed on yet, I'll give you a choice, do you want to keep it the way it is (Ryzen 5120), or proceed with the following?
If the node has above 1000GB disk left, you get an extra +100GB disk, if it's below, it's reduced to 60GB disk (as in 60GB disk.)
If the node has above 40GB free memory left over the way I usually manually check it (40,xxx -- not exact) you get 3GB extra RAM, if it's below, reduced to 3GB.
If the node has below 3TB bandwidth utilization by the time you reply/it's checked so far in the month (it's been 48~ hours since reset) you get an extra 3TB bandwidth, if it's less, you get reduced by 3TB bandwidth.
If the node has below 20% CPU utilization the way I usually manually check it, you get 2 extra cores. If it's in between 20% and 30% you get the same, and if it's above 30% you get 1 core less.
If the node has a bunch of extra IP addresses available (at my discretion, since we're not removing any) you get an extra IP as well.
First roll is a 3, it's been added to get processed with other VPSBF type mysteries, except with a note to double it afterward.
Edit -- Oh no @msatt why'd you order in the same location and end up on the same node, and get the same deal. I forgot all the goalposts I had to move to justify giving you whatever you got, I guess it's safer now either way since it gets doubled.
This gets doubled first. Done. So here's how we'll interpret this one then, it starts off as a doubled version of the special, so what we'll do is use it as the MINIMUM no matter what, if the VPSBF deal ends up being lower (and it goes based off having 2x IPv4 which will change some things.)
I've put it into the list for VPSBF type mysteries as well.
may I ask (in case I missed, which is likely) what might be the specs for the Ryzen5120? Would be delighted to mention my preference once the specs are known.
And I don't need extra bandwidth (option 3 in the list) if that can be taken out of options, would be appreciated- leaves less room for uncertainty
