I think this is the first time I've seen something listed as 91% off on the site. That' s probably the highest discount listed on a pan, I've seen so far on the site.
I should probably fix the bandwidth logic. I don't know why it's giving 15TB with that, I probably added an extra 0 somewhere.

LOL that is what I actually secretly thought most likely to be... but then I figured nah you can't be as bad as I am, surely it won't be around anymore... then again, I've also told several people that complain about my concept of time, that it is Virmach SOON™ and that I can't help it
Somewhere on the OGF I saw a bunch complaining, including about IPv6 and in my head I told them that it's on the SOON to do list, but I was too lazy to actually type anything yet... and they seemed strangely hostile
Where did all these VMs in my account come from ?????
I feel your pain... I have my spreadsheet open all day trying to figure out, which old ones I HAVE to cancel this time, and which types I should under no circumstance buy any more of... since 90% of my servers idle and I don't know how the collection got so big... but... I don't WANT to cancel any of them :-/
Life is tough at times
Oh I got my first ever Miami yesterday! $4.25 for 786MB / 20GB

I am feeling pretty good about most of my VirMach BF purchases. I only have two why the hell did I do that ? purchases.
I do feel like I own part of Amsterdam now. I wonder if I have enough VMs and/or IPs in Amsterdam to qualify for citizenship ?
I expect so. I need to check on that.
EDIT: Nope not enough for citizenship, only 6 servers and 13 IPs in Amsterdam.
@ususk said: Or, just let us sell some of the idlers back for half the price
what do you have?
15ish what I cant even remember, only know I failed to grab large disk deals
I just checked my card bill and it seems that I can get a greencloud 1111 plan (6 epyc milan cores, 11GB RAM, 111GB NVMe SSD, 11TB bandwidth for 3 years) and still have some left with how much I spent on the flash sale idlers.
I thought you were initially joking so I added onto it but you were being serious. We would not feel comfortable actually doing the half refund thing you mentioned and I know you would probably rather have that instead of the alternative since you see it as getting half back versus losing it all, but is there a particular issue?
Did you just buy a bunch of smaller services and you don't know what to do with them and you do know what to do with one larger service? Make a ticket so I can have a look and try to provide some background information so I can see if anything can be done.
Serious FOMO issue I guess.
At first I just wanted to grab super cheap ones to have fun then the deals got better and better so I got addicted. Before I realized I didn’t know what to do with them I already spent a lot and Im also about too hit triple digit idlers as @FAT32 from various providers.
I woulda given them to friends but i didn’t pay for transfer addon and I only trust one who won’t get my account into trouble but I doubt he wants some ssh login credentials rather than proper services under his account.
It’s not like I can’t pay the bill. I mostly don’t like the long long “my service” list and how difficult it is to locate the one I’m looking for on the control panel and my ssh client.
Thanks for the kind offer but let me wait for the resource flash sale first 💀

Netboot.xyz craps just before partitioning (AMS/ NY) - Ubuntu (022/24, Debian 12). Better to grab a cup of coffee a carafe with min. 2 cups of coffee, install Debian 10.x, and upgrade to 12.x

Let it be known that this plan that multiple people mentioned wanting (after it sold out or missed) was done in NYC, LAX, MIA, AMS, and ATL. And no one was here.

I think you missed it twice. I'd post another but you'd miss it.
As usual.
I need that one so I can cancel my free SSD4G
Don't worry we still have something like infinite resources left, I just have to find the one that matches.

On a slightly unrelated note, there's still something like 10 or 20 small packages I find laying around in random places, all over the place, with NVMe SSDs in them that were never sent out. I did warn everyone that could happen but I still feel bad about it. All the labels were created and paid for as well, I think the USPS guy just never picked them up and they were forgotten.
Lol I remember... I won the 100 AMD boxes including wraith heatsinks and fans... or was it 400, I forget
Edit: Oh that was probably a bit random of me... just when I read about the things laying around, I remembered and imagine that big oil container, the amd boxes and all the other stuff of years ago
Almost all the boxes still exist by the way. A cabinet almost entirely filled with them and then another storage area.
Oh man and then there's spins left over. I need to find the wheel.
The real question is: what happened after that? Why did you disappear? But most important: is everything better now?

I learnt today that the cost value of renting additional 10 GB of SSD and 1 cpu core can be as low as as 1 Dollar and 64 cents per year. (or even lower with a working coupon)

There was also a set of offers yesterday with identical specs and location, except that one had an additional 2TB of BW and cost $0.15 more.
It's interesting to see what VirBot comes up with.

You may remain in Tokyo until final service date of 11/27/2024. Please don't forget to keep the cancellation request in place. If service renews past final service date, you may be migrated away from Tokyo without any further notice.

But if VirBot always followed a set pattern of rules where would be the fun in that ?
it has rules for sure. Tokyo always low discount and low bandwidth.good for keeping MJJs at bay
I had a wall of text written out about rules and VirBot in regards to Mjjs, but after rethinking it I decided not to post it
Instead I decided to unbanned @Flying_Chinaman
