oh dear
shouting loudly
LAPUA @lapua
EPYC 7702P has 128 threads.
If each vCPU is a thread, fair use is 25% vCPU per 1GB RAM.
If I buy 2 vCPU 8GB plan, I can use 200% persistently, so it's actually a VDS?

I like how Max always writes the entire node specs. Every provider should do it if possible.
@mxmla are cores dedicated ?
As always: 50 % continues usage is allowed
2 Threads for 8 GiB RAM are assigned, 1 Core is dedicated to the VPS.
Thanks for your feedback!

.338 LAPUA Magnum please!
@mxmla do you allow irc scripts?
Sure!

YABS for the 16GB version, need to stop frequenting this forum. :'( The deals are too strong for my weak will
here is the 2GB version
I notice that
lg.nl.is now pointing to Eygelshoven.Does this mean the Dronten location is going to migrate to Eygelshoven?
I have enough store credits to afford a big machine, but I don't want to end up with two machines in the same location.
Would Black Friday bring dealz in Sweden location?

Hello
would you have BF promotion? Would Including ipv6 only plan? I really like your 9€/Year plan. It’s a fit plan for website with cdn.
There is a promotion now, I’m so sorry that I’m afraid that this will replace bf promotion.
Good catch
As the overall feedback towards our new NL location is good and we are unable to expand in Dronten we will migrate all existing Clients. All Clients will receive an E-Mail regarding this in the upcoming days. IPv4/IPv6 Addresses will not change. Migration is planned for March 2024 to give enough time. VPS will be offline for a few hours. Clients who want to avoid the downtime will be able to migrate with an "appointment" beforehand but with IPv4/IPv6 address change. This will be possible 4 weeks before the actual migration and only if enough stock is available.
We have our own Rack in Eygelshoven with our own Routers now to get the flexibility we hadn't before regarding BGP, routed Subnets and so on.
If you/somebody has more questions about this please ask
No BF promotion planned

Migration notice email
Hi push-up specialist!
You are receiving this E-Mail as a Client with an active Virtual Server with server-factory.com at our Dronten, The Netherlands location.
On 15.03.2024 at 18:00 CET we will migrate your Virtual Server to our new Eygelshoven, The Netherlands location.
The IP addresses of your Virtual Server will not change. No Data will be lost. Please create a Backup beforehand.
At 18:00 CET on 15.03.2024 we will instruct our Upstream in Dronten, The Netherlands to drop the announcements of our Subnets on their Routers.
As soon this is done we will announce the Subnets on our own Routers in our new Eygelshoven, The Netherlands location.
Afterwards we will shutdown all Virtual Server in Dronten, The Netherlands and remove the Servers from the Rack. We will transport the Servers from Dronten, The Netherlands to Eygelshoven, The Netherlands which takes around 3 hours.
After arriving in Eygelshoven, The Netherlands we will install the Servers in our own Rack.
The overall migration is expected to take 6 to 9 hours.
In case an IP address change is acceptable for you and you want to avoid downtime:
We offer a planned migration beforehand.
From 16.02.2024 onward, it is possible to migrate. Please note that IP addresses are changed.
We will migrate your Virtual Server and its Data to the new location.
If you are interested, please reply to this E-Mail and we will schedule a migration appointment with you.
Please note that the migration is only possible when there is stock of the same Plan in the new location. Storage VPS can't be migrated earlier.
Thanks for your cooperation.
If you have questions, please let us know.
Kind regards,
Maximilian Jacobsen from server-factory.com

Any plan on restocking Sweden location soon?
would be nice to have XXS with 2vCPU. LES exclusive maybe?
I bench YABS 24/7/365 unless it's a leap year.
+1
Limited stock LES exclusive, and maybe even biennial payment?

In Eygelshoven all plans are 1Gbit uplink at this time as far as I can tell.
Will existing plans in Dronten with 2.5Gbit uplink such as from this promo have same 2.5Gbit uplink in Eygelshoven after migration or will be downgraded to 1Gbit?
We are sourcing hardware for another EPYC Node but we have no ETA yet. Let me know your E-Mail Address via PM and I can inform you as soon as it is ready.
Let see what 2024 brings to us
You will keep your 2.5 GBit Uplink

One of my most flawless BGP experiences so far. I had no issues getting my session established and the prefixes I'm announcing became reachable within minutes. No need to wait for upstreams updating their filters. Huge thumbs up!

Damn, I tried to persuade^C blackmail @mxmla into BF deals by withdrawing my affiliates and telling him I am gonna use it for buying competition and he just said "Happy buying".
We doomed, he won't budge, no BF spirit from server-factory (-:
Haven't bought a single service in VirMach Great Ryzen 2022 - 2023 Flash Sale.
They won't even let me withdraw affiliate income.
It needs SEPA number.
I called Discover Bank and Wells Fargo Bank, but neither bank knows anything about a SEPA number.
Revolut app has a SEPA number but I'm told it's invalid.
So basically I have to spend affiliate income on another VPS, before the provider deadpools or gets an acquisition that wipes out store credits.
We accept Karma donations for the last flan. 🍮 affbrr
wtf is SEPA number
SEPA is transfer system, works on IBAN (+ BIC).
Sure that your Murica banks are not in SEPA system (and SWIFT is expensive), but Revolut should work, they are even in SEPA Instant... however maybe not - you could be in some Revolut USA LTD. that it's outside SEPA system too. Mine Revolut (after 2 migrations - they started in UK I think, then Brexit) now it's a Lithuania bank
Haven't bought a single service in VirMach Great Ryzen 2022 - 2023 Flash Sale.
Revolut gives BIC "REVOUS31" and 12-digit account number, but then it says "only SWIFT transfers are accepted" at the bottom.
ACH is free and convenient.
Every Murica bank has ACH.
You send the money before 6pm, it'll be received when the bank opens the next morning.
Why can't European banks join ACH to facilitate cross-Atlantic commerce?
We accept Karma donations for the last flan. 🍮 affbrr
Then yeah, your are on some USA branch of Revolut and no SEPA for ya.
. Plus additional fees if bank accounts in wrong currency, lol.
SWIFT is bad/expensive [aka 0,35% fee... but not less than 6€ for my bank for single transfer] so I am not shocked that mxmla don't want to send it and to add insult to injury it's half of the cost - sender pays half [up front], receiver pays half too [substracted from the amount you got]

also as we derailed the topic
BUY VPS, GOOD SHIT.

Haven't bought a single service in VirMach Great Ryzen 2022 - 2023 Flash Sale.
Because ACH is used to make payments within the U.S. European banks can't do anything here.
SEPA is the European Union's equivalent of ACH payments

Get Wise and open a euro balance account.
Should be able to receive cash that way. IBAN and BIC supported.

For BGP: Legacy resources may not have RPKI (e.g., net 44), so I guess they can't be announced via server-factory?
Thanks for your question! That's correct. RPKI is mandatory.

After I place the order, do I reply to the order ASN and provide the IP here?

What are Subnets? How can I find it?
I guess we are on the wrong path here

I may have missed this, but what control panel do you use?
Also, is installation from a custom ISO possible?

@mxmla
If I may ask: do you block port 25 on these plans?
If not, can rDNS be set?

Thanks for your question! We do block Mail Ports by default but Clients can delete the Firewall Rule blocking the Mail Ports via Client Area. rDNS is managed for the IPv4 address and the first IPv6 address from the /64 Subnet via Client Area as well

been noticing a lot of traffic on my server, while idle, nothing installed, ~30-50GB per day, decided to do some nethogs and tcpdumps
and I am getting data from other services on the node,
all the data is coming from the following..
really strange, the
sf4.eygelshovennl.comis31.41.249.108and this is where all my incoming data is coming from anohter server-factory IP address. so there is a leak in the network somewhere if I am able to capture this
