good vps
I hesitate, this offer is intended for everyone.
Apart of this part of the specification (BASE CLOCK: 2.35 GHZ / CORES: 1 at 25 % LIMIT), which makes the VPS configuration closer to the "shared hosting" for the exclusevley "static content",
the user needs the own solution of
how to make the IP6 host visible for the users of IP4 networks.
There s no simple solution for OS debian, for instance.
To reach the configuration of such IP6 host will be impossible from the 95+% of modern phones.
We're in 2023. v6 is 25 years old.
I really appreciate every provider who's able to offer v4 as an additional add-on instead of a necessity.
That's a made-up number, right?
When there's 42% of users accessing Google via v6, I highly doubt the v6 adoption on phones is at 5% globally.
Locally speaking - all MNO's support v6 over here.
Read closer. It's a 24hour TRIAL. If you're going to try and run production on a 24 hour trial you're going to have a bad time.
EDIT: But if you, be sure to post here so I watch for the public freak out. I'll make some extra popcorn.
skorous : To add "update/upgrade" and to install additional 50 packages for PHP8*, Mariadb and the specific application takes 6-8 hours within your limit of 25% from 3.35Mhz of the single core.
The experinced user, if he finds your offer attractive with ~850Khz, is hardly become happy.
To configuree the whole construction of web server takes days, not 24 consequent hours.
So, expectations for the experienced user look as follows : either you add full core or you extend the trial till 72 hours in order the user can use his static web server practically.
Is this an experience you have with the trial VPS at the moment? Install via apt is lightning fast on my trial VPS.
server-factory.com
Static webserver? Why would you even need php and a database to serve static files?!
Troll somewhere else.
wow

Congrats on the expansion!
Installation speeds seem very snappy, disks are screaming fast.
Docker stuff was also running fast.
Impressive stuff.

Congratulations on new location - rented, still own hardware? Did you visit it and install things manually or DC did things? Or this is via some 3rd-party proxy and you just have a place in theirs rack? :-)
Haven't bought a single service in VirMach Great Ryzen 2022 - 2023 Flash Sale.
Thank you! Owned Servers , we ship them, DC handles installation in the Rack

Can someone check what location https://www.ripe.net show. (RIPE Database (Whois) search form on the upper right corner)
Its Sweden itself.
btw @mxmla any plans for BGP sessions in the future?

Deployed mine, took a snapshot, restored snapshot - seems like this is working! My tests concludes, anything else I can run is some little stress test, but I assume mxmla did it already before deploying it

Oh wait, this is the LeapSwitch review guy. Sorry everybody for engaging.

That's good!
All those little private dabatases like maxmind, iplocation ... means jack shit if location isn't properly listed in RIPE database.
Anyone use this DC before? Curious about network stability and DDOS protection.

I think everything has been said already... everything works and works well..
very stable network, no real ddos protection
Congrats on the new location! I think it should send an email with the IP and Password to the user otherwise some users may have a problem with the login.
What would be the pricing after the trial is over?
DM us for private tracker invite.
Mine is working great. I don't mine having a free only ipv6 vps. It is not a problem not having ipv4.
free is always best
I bench YABS 24/7/365 unless it's a leap year.
We plan to offer BGP Sessions but only if we are able to automate it, therefore no ETA
Thanks for your feedback! Which Problems with login do you think one can have if the IP and Password is only listed in the Client Area?
Not yet known, but probably like our pre energy crisis offers in the Netherlands
IPv6 only will give a great discount.

@mxmla
Maybe this is not a big deal but If the new order e-mail contains the login information It could be easier for a user to log in, instead of opening the webpage again to find where the password is.
Thanks for your feedback! We will re-consider it
We added a Debian 11 Template.
server-factory.com
I think it should add a reset password function, in case users forget the password after changing it, if not users must rebuild the OS.
@mxmla
The performance is really amazing. How much is it?
https://microlxc.net/
Not for security, technically that is a password sent in plaintext. Better for the provider if you have to login to retrieve it that way only you should have access to it, theoretically anyways.
The Yeti has left the building.
Standard, sadly with most Providers.
However, most of the Email these days is send via TLS.
Should not be that big of an issue anymore, however would be better to not send it obviously.

Just tried it out and it seems to run great, awesome performance and great network.
Just a minor thing, not really related to the new location but anyway.
In your panel when I list my vps's, it would make more sense to list the hostname in bold letters instead of the package name. Also, in the navbar to the left it is only listed with package name, nothing else.
In my case "sweden.mydomain" or whatever I name the server makes more sense then "AMD EPYC™ XXS IPv6 ONLY VPS 24 HOUR TRIAL". It gets a bit confusing if you have multiple vps's with the same package name.
I very rarely refer to my vps's by the providers package name so it feels a bit backwards that that is the prominent field while listing them.
To patch a vulnerability, all Trial VPS will be offline for a few minutes. I am sorry for the inconvenience.

Trial VPS are all back online.

https://my.server-factory.com/ seems to be
Under MaintenanceThe VPS has been a smooth sailing so far, no issues, nothing broken etc
usually its the templates that are broken but not with @mxmla , they keep a keen eye on things
My only non-issue was not being able to access IPv4-only resources but that's understandable since there is no IPv4 or any IPv4-gateway
The trial VPS performance is good. Installing packages is even faster than some of my other VMs with higher specs, dispite the 25% CPU limit. Network is fast with good connection to my local ISP.
Been testing for a while now, and everything seems to work perfectly.
Good performance, the templates work, network is fast.
I have some packet loss between some of my vps's in the states and this one, but I have not figured out which side its on so I will not put the blame anywhere...yet.
Thanks for your feedback! Could you please open a Ticket and provide MTR's in both directions that show the loss? Thanks in advance!

I had no problem installing Proxmox. I also tested the bandwith and got as promised 1 Gbps.
Looking forward to when you launch this in production!
