Of course it comes a deal like that when I just terminated my 2 VPSes there hehe.
Not sure if I would need the disk, that would be the only thing I would go back for hehe.

That's the only thing why I bought it haha, and that's the point of this promo. I've raised a ticket to remove the I/O limit, and will yabs it again.

Hmm..a vps which I don't need with DOUBLE disk..hmm..
same here, it's only the disk space that makes it a bit more interesting. luckily the IO limitations seems to put it quite into the range of just somewhat cached HDD and the geekbench is even worse. 500 single score isn't Epyc worthy and scaling to 900 on a 4 core VPS? nah. pass.

Thats why I moved, got VPS with single core score higher then the 4 cores.
Not to mention the nice CPU steal and software interrupt so the only only thing was the amount of diskspace.

I might bite on Hetzner Nextcloud/Storage though. Some people made me want to give it a try
@ialexpw ah that happens with many providers... I'm requestiong to them that they move me to another node and problem will be solved. Will yabs it again.

It's a pretty good offer, that extra disk space is really tempting. I was lucky enough to have my both servers hosted on good nodes (no cpu steal) and without having the I/O rates reverted as I've read about in some comments. Wonder if I should push my luck once more.
The 400gb is the 200gb that's already usually part of the plan, plus another 200gb added amirite? So only the extra 200gb is "free". Anyway it still seems like a pass given the persistent crummy benches among other things. All in all I'm happy with a smaller ssd (50gb is really plenty) and a much bigger disk of spinning rust.

New disk speed yabs, and I'm waiting for some CPU power in work-days.. It's Sunday and I guess their staff is not working.
For 4.99€ / mo. Nice.
Thanks. I'd wonder what to do with a product like this. I wonder how much ram pressure there is. If the iops cap means they are really able to deliver 1k iops consistently then I guess it is better than a dedicated HDD. But there is also the cpu. Hmm.

This is LES, our production services are supposed to be down a lot .
I think you have mistaken LES and LEB
I would say that the majority of offers here has a high uptime (no statistics has been gathered, obly a gut feeling)

Very shitty disk performance, cpu looks like it's oversold and in-use, and the network is hard capped at 200mbit down, and none of the iperf tests went above 80mbit/s up.

Depends on which VPS you get. VPS S is 200Mbps, VPS M is 400Mbps, VPS L is 600Mbps, and VPS XL is 1Gbps. They're pretty clear about it on the order page.
200 Mbps isn't ideal but it's still better than Kimsufi's 100Mbps

Look at that YABS thing, i only got 60ish mbit/s upload compared to other people basically maxxing their 200mbit available bw.

Like with other providers, it's shared bandwidth, not dedicated, so it's not expected to be able to max it all the time.
@ehab said: @Amadex so a cancel button gives that "At end of billing period option" ? or must be some process?
Minimum cancellation notice:
None (pre-paid) or 4 weeks (post-paid)
So, just let it expire if you don't need it.

Read a lot about Contabe but I haven't give them a try.
Where can you choose between prepaid and post-paid with Contabo? When I go to their VPS page to order it says minimum term is 1 month and cancellation needs to happen 4 weeks in advance.

You get what you paid for. So the network cap is there, and when you order you an see it's capped at 200 mbit
As for disk, you can get higher speeds on 1M (via a ticket), but IOPS is limited. And as for the CPU, what do you expect from 5 eur p/m (btw you can ask to get switched to another node with a lower steal. I've used them for like 7 months, and ngl they've been rock solid in those times for the price and stuff they offer.

Don't expect too much from Contabo. It's known that they are overbooking there Systems.
That is a pretty low benchmark right? I have lost track of this stuff.
Yeah, disk is hard capped and you can get unlucky with overloaded processor

It's still free today 🤔
Contabo's SSD VPSes tend to be pretty slow. I used one of their NVMe VPSes for a few months and it was pretty decent though.
