Any Black Friday VPS Deals Similar to Shock Hosting's $99/Year Offer?
Hi everyone!
I saw Shock Hosting's $99/year Black Friday dedicated server deal and was wondering if there are any similar offers available.
I'm looking for a VPS or budget dedicated server around $99/year, mainly for personal projects, remote development, storage, and backups.
Does anyone know of any good deals or providers worth checking out?
Thanks!

I can see the posts being built up by hosts for the private black friday thread; nothing quite matches the shock hosting offer yet, which will go public preview on the 20th November.

Thanks for the heads-up! I'll keep an eye out for the preview on November 20. Hopefully there'll be something close to the Shock Hosting deal!
Maybe somebody is willing to transfer. Sounded like at least one user had a location that wasn't their first choice.
That sounds quite disappointing. I hope there will be some surprises in the later part.
Thanks! Do you know where I could find someone willing to transfer their server? And does Shock Hosting allow transfers of these promotional deals?
is usually very last minute things get added, fomo from both sides

Someone posted on Oct 29 in the Shock Hosting thread about wanting to switch server location, maybe that person? You can try starting a [WTB] post and see if there is interest. (I think that's allowed here)
Thanks a lot for the info! I'll check out that thread. Really appreciate your help!
Depending on the specs and price you're looking for, there are other decent providers here. Some are probably going to run a BF sale.
My budget is around $99/year. I'm looking for a server with decent CPU performance, at least 16GB RAM, and plenty of storage for backups and personal projects. Looking forward to seeing what deals other providers bring next Black Friday. Thanks!
You probably want a second server to keep the backups on. It isn't a great idea to keep your backups on the same server as your projects in case something goes wrong with it.
