Hostward - Free Hosting Control Panel (50 Services Free)
Hello everyone,
I recently decided to open up our management platform and offer it as a free white-label solution for other providers as well.
More information and screenshots can be found at https://hostward.de.
The platform is free for up to 50 services. For larger providers running more services, I plan to offer a simple pricing model: €10/month for up to 500 services and €20/month for unlimited services. Seems fair to me and should easily cover development costs.
A self-hosted version isn't off the table either. If somebody is interested in getting the full source code, we can discuss that individually.
One thing I'd really like to do is continue building the platform based on feedback. Whether it's completely new modules, additional integrations, or improvements to existing functionality, I'm open to suggestions.
Current modules and supported services:
Proxmox VE
- Proxmox installation is still done manually.
- Long term, the goal is to automatically convert a fresh Debian installation into a fully configured Proxmox node.
- Proxmox Backup Server integration currently requires manual setup.
- ISO uploads, ISO storage management and Cloud-Init are already fully integrated.
Mailcow
KeyHelp
Docker hosting
- Mostly tested with game servers.
- Compatible with Pterodactyl eggs.
DNS management
Dedicated servers
- Technically this can be used to manage almost any type of device.
- Support for different hardware classes is still growing.
- Switches, PDUs and similar equipment can be added on request.
A small disclaimer: don't expect everything to be perfect on day one.
We've built management systems for hosting providers before, but Hostward has only ever been used internally at Haendler.IT. As a result, some parts were originally designed around our own workflows and requirements.
That's also why I'm posting this here. Real-world feedback from other providers is incredibly valuable and will help shape the platform going forward. If something doesn't fit your workflow, I'd rather improve it than tell you to adapt to it.
Haendler.IT itself is a small provider, which turned out to be an advantage during development. Most features were created because we actually needed them in production, not because they looked good on a roadmap or marketing slide.
Feel free to take a look, share ideas, point out flaws, or tell me what integrations are missing. I'd genuinely like to make this useful for more than just our own infrastructure.
