Thanks for sharing it @Dewlance

(Quote) It seems Blesta is going to get the majority chunk of those looking to migrate away from WHMCS & if Blesta play their cards wisely they can bag even some of those who target premium market. For that they will have to provide them premi…

(Quote) FLOSS looks great in theory but no such viable options exist for billing as a hosting provider. The closest alternative you will find is Blesta which is open source & can be easily modified to make it suitable for use case of every hosti…

Belgium is like a rare location. @AnthonySmith if you manage to find an appropriate offer from a DC for hardware + IPv4 then I suggest you do it. Much better than offering DE or NL if a VPS provider manages to find a nice deal for that location.

(Quote) Which one do you think is better, ISPConfig or KeyHelp?

@wdmg Congratulations on moving to Hostbill :)

+1 for this great idea by Ant the great!

(Quote) I agree that pricing should not be unsustainable but a 5x-10x price increase overnight is going to hurt any business

With this dick of a move what they have said indirectly is "Thanks for supporting the development of WHMCS in the past by buying owned licenses but now just fuck off" After what they have done I think those with owned licenses should not …

(Quote) As I said in OP that there can be many other factors but am just trying to get a rough idea of what hosting companies as well as end users (as price increase of software affects both) think as to how much price increase is fair & is n…

You guys should check out my previous posts under this & previous account. I have predicted this numerous times that it will repeatedly happen to all their brands. WHMCS is next

There is a reason he always used to be among top providers in the old world: Commitment & dedication to his work

You should report that idiot to his employer. Absolutely pathetic guy

I would love to be part of this

I really love the way you draft your offers!

BF before BF! Nice offers Ant

(Quote) I expect them to charge per domain for cPanel & per service for WHMCS

Great decision! DirectAdmin is the future especially if you provide hosting at budget prices. Customers who are aware of what is going in the hosting industry distrust the owners of cPanel. It is going to take some years but the writing is on the wa…

Everything seems fine you're doing a great job :)
-
You can use LXC or OpenVZ when you want to spend less on a VPS as they can be oversold more easily & with a quality provider you won't even notice any difference. They are fine for most use cases

Signed up & voted only because Ant wants it implemented :) Will do anything possible for respectable lads like Fran, Ant, Jar etc

All those improvements suggested by Ant will be useful to majority of providers if not all. Billing automation systems should make the life of hosts easier but in reality I find it to be other way around even in much more expensive billing systems.

(Quote) @Abdullah is a nice guy. Wish you best of luck with it

Happy independence day to Pakistan & India

I recommend getting a slice from BuyVM + DDoS protected IP If you want shared/reseller hosting then I believe @SmallWeb also offer DDoS protected IPs (for additional charges) on BuyVM's infrastructure.

How to disable ticket system in DA?

Their greed leading to per account, per core, per customer model on different products has made it very hard to survive for smaller players in the industry particularly those who offer hosting at budget prices.

(Quote) I think you are smart enough & have been in this industry for long enough to expect anything sensible from Oakley/Webpros & whoever their other major shareholders are. Regardless of whatever their new per active customer pricing is u…

(Quote) Yes I am expecting $40-$50 for 100 active customers then $0.10- $0.20 per additional active customer. That would make it similar to cPanel model.
-
WHMCS 8.0 Beta is now available. Sooner or later a price increase based on the cPanel model is going to happen & judging by the policies of VCs behind them I think they are going to ditch those with owned licenses in not very distant future. If…

Happy Eid

Happy Eid to all those who celebrate. I could be wrong about this but wasn't there an Eid like a couple of months ago or is it celebrated multiple times every year?
