ZAP Hosting Lifetime VPS LXC Finland, 2vCores, 8GB RAM, 25GB Disk Space, 500 Mbit/s YABS (Geekbench 6 aborted,Geekbench 5 worked). Disk speed is kind of meh (it's no ssd though), and IP Location shows Pakistan (not correct) but still I'l…

(Quote) I used Juice in the past. Seems like many people are still using it. I guess I'll just get back to using it.
-
(Quote) I only use Google PlayProtect + MiUI native Security App/Scanner which, to my understanding, uses Avast's database. Since MiUI Security App scans every app that is installed (on top of PlayProtect) I just reckoned that'd be enough …

I have been very happy with @MikePT :) Uptime is great in Germany (Hetzner) location from what I can tell from my Uptimerobot. Performance is very good, too. It's gonna be slower support replies than other hosts, though. Mike is alone and has a…

(Quote) Install f*ck. It will likely correct everything you were misstyping. https://github.com/nvbn/thefuck

(Quote) Yeah, I mostly use the browser extension, too. Unblocking is like 98% of my use case for Ivacy. Works really well with the extension.
-
(Quote) That's because it's just a proxy not an encrypted vpn connection. I love their browser extension for unblocking streaming channels as it yields really fast speeds.

There is even an option you can enable to run Docker containers on your LXC vps

(Quote) Also ZAP Hosting (Mc server). Fml. Just ordered Finland 2vCores, 8GB RAM, 25GB . Fwiw, I would have had to login every 3 months now anyway, in order to keep alive my Minecraft lifetime server I bought in 2021. The VPS interface looks clean…

(Quote) Who? Support Agent? I won't share their name but I don't think it would matter who answered either. It was a question they were likely not too happy to answer (whether old lifetime deals were also affected by this inactivity fee). …

(Quote) I waited 4-5 hours for response today.
-
(Quote) The fact you did get ticket replies today, on a Sunday and on Easter, is commendable though. But yeah, mostly L1 agents online rn.

(Quote) Thanks, not too bad. Single: 677 Multi: 1168

(Quote) Benchmark still running?
-
(Quote) yeah they have been around for a while, too :D
-
(Quote) I haven't. They are also EU based and I have heard mixed things. They are probably quite good, not stellar, but not bad either. I remember @sanvit or someone else was not so happy with them, though.
-
(Quote) So did you order a lifetime vps? If so, care to share https://yabs.sh Benchmark with us? (Quote) That is true, but while AGB/TOS are important in Germany it doesn't mean anything they state there is legally fine. E.g. they could write …

(Quote) It was not in the ToS back then when we all ordered on December 2021. I also have a ticket from back then which states that support agent is not "aware" of any inactivity clause. Might ask them regarding this, but probably not wor…

(Quote) I know how this can feel. Long ago, I purchased a lifetime license for a SaaS marketing tool (Glorifyapp) and the price was like 200€. When ordering, I needed 3 attempts until I received a confirmation message (before it seemed like the pro…

(Quote) Happy it worked out in the end (with some difficulties). Nice that you got a reply on the weekend and a competent one at that :) Enjoy the VPN! Do you already have Access to the vpn?
-
(Quote) Will do mate :) I also setup OVPN using Nyr's script on a Greencloud VPS today and it's also not leaking DNS on the very same Windows 10 system where Goose VPN ovpn config files are leaking DNS. Given that FastestVPN, VPN Unlimited…

(Quote) I'd try reinstalling the apps, I guess.

@nick_ @Tnetenn hope your PayPal issue gets sorted. First time I heard of such an issue with PayPal. I only knew something like this from Hotel reservations when I would leave my Amex card details for reservation. Fwiw, PayPal Express on Stacksocial…

(Quote) Congrats! :) remember to message support after 5 years to renew free of charge. For me, this will be case in july. Then I can tell if/how it worked. In any case, for now, just enjoy the first 5 years!
-
(Quote) Yeah, Ivacy's speeds are decent, albeit not best. At least, I rarely get above 100 Mbit/s with their apps/servers. FastestVPN and especially Keepsolid are usually way faster. Since I only use Ivacy for unblocking streaming services and …

(Quote) Does the iOS version support Wireguard then? Sorry, I wasn't sure if Mac appstore and iOS (mobile?) AppStore were the same. Never really used Apple. Glad if it worked :)

(Quote) UDP is like dodgeball. Catch packet or die.
-
(Quote) Both have come a long way since I first purchased them (Keepsolid in 2016, Ivacy in 2017) and both are great vpn providers which I love individually for what they are. Keepsolid, for me, has faster speeds and overall is really stable imho. I…

(Quote) Afaik Wg is only available in their apps, not as manual configs/setup. (Image)

Seems like now there also isn't a "next due date" with Ivacy. Before there was one set in 5 years (where you'd have to contact support to renew): (Image)

(Quote) It's not greyed out as it is for me. Thanks mate! :) Guess I'll give it a short. Worst case I'll have supported them a bit for the years to come. Re-Purchased for 18$. Worth it. Port-Forwarding shows up, 10 devices show up :)…
