(Quote) Installed Ubuntu Server over NoVNC while standing on a crowded bus once, was fun. Only thing was that I couldn't properly format it so it just used auto-partitioning. It definitely is doable but not that enjoyable.

(Quote) A lot of them are still written in Python, but a great chunk of vibe-coded or just modern human-coded apps use NodeJS. If the bots are also big, like NotSoBot, they use Kubernetes to run their bots: https://notsobot.com/status [although nots…

1-2vCPU 1G(or 2G is better because I run out of RAM on 1G) Storage atleast 20-30G Network min 100Mbit 2G RAM is slowly becoming the minimum because of how much app dependencies are increasing, for a seemingly normal basic app written in something …

(Quote) Cock.li has been quite unreliable for the past few months/years, mainly that the canary isn't being updated properly (last update was at 2nd June while its 30th now, cycle is apparently 72h), and it even recently went down with no reaso…

(Quote) Not really, I've used this domain for quite some time now (I think 2023-24 was when I registered it, don't remember properly) and not once has it ended up in spam. Mostly used inleed.xyz but had it on outlook as well for a bit.

(Quote) Costs more or less the same as CF (94.29 INR) but I don't see any email account offers for it. Don't see anything mentioned on the domain page itself either (at least from OVH IN) Edit: Seems like OVH doesn't do emails in In…

(Quote) I used fastest_pkg and the fastest I can get is around 800kb/s. Definitely not a problem with my internet/vm networking because it can still fetch at 18-20 MB/s, which is the max my internet plan goes. Problem isn't with GeoDNS, but pro…

(Quote) I am having the same issue, but with FreeBSD. The mirrors are insanely slow and I cannot be bothered to use them. It's the only thing stopping me from using FreeBSD especially after their Laptop Project this 15 release.

(Quote) Off-topic, but I have seen that more and more people are making the mistake of using "then" in place of "than". Is this a pronunciation error that also translates into writing, and then gets propagated through social medi…

(Quote) Downtime of billing panel and main website is equally unhealthy as the downtime of the client servers. What?

(Quote) There's an arguably better software for this called Anubis (https://github.com/TecharoHQ/anubis) which is being widely used in a lot of websites nowadays and does the same thing as what the host currently has but far better. (Quote) Th…

(Quote) I saw some video where the guy made an AI talk with itself and it went insane and started spitting out training data and whatnot. They are really not good thinkers and the most they will do is probably overheat themselves to death.

Should mention for the Indian readers who want to buy refurbs, this time I did not use Amazon, but instead went with saudewala.in. They were nice enough to even call me when the delivery guys said they couldn't reach us (they, infact, did not c…
