(Quote) To save lives, obviously. Have you seen the state of the world lately? Violence, mass shootings, wars... and people doing all sorts of unhinged crap because they can't control their impulses. Now imagine if every person who felt an un…

(Quote) Velbert, near Düsseldorf - somewhat OK as alternative to all the other German hosts in Frankfurt. They migrated in April this year from myLoc to a new DC. My guess is that they moved to the newly opened NETMOUNTAINS DC.

Realtoxmedia for 10 eur/y https://customer.realtoxmedia.de/configure/158 Not perfect but relatively okayish.

In the meantime, the ownership stance strongly opposes surveillance capitalism, advertising-based tracking and weakening encryption through political or technical backdoors like current Chat Control. And yes, they don't like nazis and generally…

(Quote) I don't think people are generally keen to switch their main mail provider unless it's really necessary. Especially if they don't use their own domain, which I believe is the vast majority of population if we look beyond the L…

I don't think they compete in the same email service segment. Mailbox.org is a heavily privacy-oriented provider with complete productivity suite that competes directly with Proton and Tuta. Besides that, it seems you didn't read beyond th…

A bit more detailed: the price hike is actually only removed discount for the yearly payment (e.g., the Standard account is now €36/year instead of €30/year), while the monthly €3/m price remains the same. Until the end of this month, you can extend…

Not my first choice (that would be Drupal), but based on your requirements, simple and lightweight, I would go with WonderCMS.

Damn, that's really bad. And from their response, it seems like they don't even care much. They credited payment to ex domain owner' account and, for them, that's it. What morons...

(Quote) Old LES was an IPv6-only hosting support community 🙂 Like... "Don’t you dare open a support ticket for those 2 bucks a year - I'm there to make sure the infrastructure works, for anything else go to the LES forum and ask there!&qu…

So everyone got that mail except most of us who read this thread? Life is not fair… :/ Apology not accepted!

I can go with that. Now that you've clearly stated that this "It is expected to stall and fall rapidly in the near future" is actually just your own expectation, which may turn out to be right or wrong, but it’s still just speculation…

(Quote) Sorry, mate, but that's clearly not how stats work, not even basic elementary-school statistics. I'm getting the impression that you used some random tech graph that has nothing to do with IPv6 adoption and are trying, through some…

(Quote) Expected by whom? And what's this graph even about? It makes absolutely no sense - IPv6 usage doesn't just fall. It may continue to grow more slowly and steady at some point, but fall? I think you've got it all wrong. Based o…

But that's what adoption means in terms of IPv6 availability and usage, or what? edit - again Ah, you said something similar in the second part of your post - sorry.

(Quote) I'm not so sure about Microsoft's incentive to migrate to IPv6. Around 10 years ago, or even earlier, Microsoft started buying large IPv4 subnets (we discussed this on another green forum back then). They invested millions upon mil…

(Quote) Yeah, you're right about that - we're specifically commenting on Google’s statistics about visits to their site via IPv6 https://www.google.com/intl/en/ipv6/statistics.html which someone posted above.
-
(Quote) You're correct, it's not linear, but that actually goes against your argument - the last 5 (or rather some 10) years show an acceleration in adoption, not a slowdown. In the first 5-10 years, we saw about 5% growth, in the last 10 …

Is this still going on? (Image)

Yeah, that's true. There are other pluses (for me). I can regularly check that they are still in the green with slow but steady growth and how they also milk make some money through public tenders, etc., which gives me confidence that my lifet…
