(Quote) Ah so it's a CWP issue, rather than netdata itself?
-
(Quote) What's this in reference to? Is there a link/etc to read more?

Recently my home ISP had an issue that only affected IPv4 - I could still SSH/access all my servers as they have IPv6. Browsing IPv6 still worked, but v4 was down for about an hour. I realise that's an unusual case, but I'm counting it as…

Email. If I had to join discord for stuff like from a provider I'd probably move elsewhere.

I voted don't care as I don't browse LES on my phone.

What location are you looking for?

(Quote) From a developer point of view it's great. You can make custom widgets to suit whatever design you need, and then your users can adjust pages to suit without any extra plugins/bloat. The downside is maybe needs more options out the box.…

(Quote) They do SSD Cloud VPS based on OnApp, or there options for SSD or NVME dedicated servers, I think they've still got some sale servers left with SSD/NVME. Free DirectAdmin too if you wanted a control panel.

@Clouvider if UK is an option.
-
(Quote) True, but in the problem earlier the username was different IIRC?

I use Blesta at the minute but looking into Hostbill for a new project. I like Blesta. Some of it isn't the most intuitive but it's not hard to figure out what to do.

(Quote) This. Or even a hint that it's the database login you use not your DA login to access phpMyAdmin. The issue surely with importing database names unchanged is someone else might have that table name in use.

(Quote) Bartering is great.

In terms of "cheap" I have a ChicagoVPS I won on LET (so, free) but it's been fairly useless. The reinstall option only gives you 30 reinstalls. Each time it counts down one but doesn;t actually reinstall. When you do ticket and get i…

(Quote) Admittedly the slow backend issues I saw were on a shared server, but I've seen plenty of front end slowness on divi based sites running on dedicated servers. I'm happy to try looking into the new versions, but as said for me the …

(Quote) I get that - but last site I worked on with Divi took about 2 minutes before the editor was usable in the edit page section. I'd just click "edit" from the pages list and it would freeze Firefox. Possible a browser issue, but …

I've not used elementor yet, but would quite like to give it a try. From past experience, Divi isn't that good. It's slow, and usually needs front end caching. Back end page editing is very slow too. Elementor looks more drag and dro…

My longest running VPS is: (Quote) Host live migrated for patching the hosts (spectre, etc).
-
(Quote) I'm sure I've had issues trying to upgrade in the past actually.
-
Thanks for the replies guys! (Quote) Is that what Buyshared is using? (Quote) So anyone using other OSes may need to migrate? I presume this would be to make it easier to concentrate on fixes rather than compatibility. (Quote) My Debian install i…

Interesting idea. Might be tempted on requesting one too...
-
(Quote) Yeah, that's generally the rule I follow too - the question was more based on the forum poll.

I was going to vote in the 250+ one, but then spotted the word personal. Never really worked it out. If I have a storage server which has some personal data on too, does that count towards the total even if it's use is mixed?

The only new VPS provider I've used in 2019 is Mythic Beasts, and so far so good lol. In terms of what to try in the coming year, not sure. SmartHost offer VPS in Wolverhampton UK but other than that I might pickup a Clouvider Amsterdam dedi, …

(Quote) I currently use Blesta but my plan I am keen to try Hostbill after reading up certain bits from Ant, etc, and having used Hostbill as a customer.

I've ran my own mail server for over 10 years, currently got 3. 2 use mailcow and one is just a pretty basic setup without gui, etc. I've ran mailcow with 1gb RAM and 1gb swap, and it was fine but the GUI was a little slow. You could disa…

(Quote) Mythic is who I was considering for Cambridge - heard nothing but good about them so far. I did some work for a client about 12 months ago who had a dedi with UKservers - they had good words to say about them but no personal experience myse…

(Quote) I don't know, I can't put my finger on it - just get this little thing in my head that makes me not choose it. I have used it for a couple of development jobs, and it was brilliant, so I should just have more of a play around.

If you were looking at subscription services, I can't remember exactly but pretty sure we had inbound spam/virus filtering from solarwinds msp at a previous place I worked.
-
Can't help with the USB socket but what cameras are you running if you don't mind me asking? I presume they run from a 12v source?
-
There's something about Hetzners cloud that just doesn't seem right and I've not used it for production stuff yet - which is odd as I run a couple of dedis in production. I used to use Bytemark (UK) a lot but they've been bought…

I'd quote like the ability to quote a selection of text. HB and LET have the option of highlighting a string/sentence and just quoting that part.

I run mailcow which runs clamav, but I've been looking into Proxmox Mail Gateway for another project. Not got round to looking into it, but it does spam/virus scanning/etc before passing emails on the mail server.
