@Lee On Twitter they said Monday, don't know what it refers to specifically. https://twitter.com/solusvm/status/1230861083314970625

(Quote) I don't think I've ever had "great" speeds from Hetzner to the US. They're good in the same region but I've definitely noticed things that are kind of annoying. Occasionally I'll get alerts that my Hetzner …

It is pointless to test, my comment was regarding how OVH latency from US>AU was much higher. There's no way around that, it's just OVH, just like how their US locations still have poor routing to some states.

I have a bunch of 21000~ mAh power banks from Blackwell and Ravpower. Both power on with USB lights instantly, these are newer ones with USB-C though so a bit expensive.

(Quote) has been nigh

@tester4 It could get expensive if it takes a long time, but with the gigabit server it might go be well. From my experience Online has great speeds in Europe.

I don't know the top up requirements but maybe look at the Scaleway "bare metal cloud servers"? Cheapest is €0.40/hour and has 3x1TB SSD with 500Mbps. €0.40/hour for 2x1TB NVMe and 1Gbps.

(Quote) :) (Quote) Linode is great imo.

If I recall correctly don't you have to restart OLS every time you make an .htaccess change? And on LS Enterprise you don't? It could be a big downside if offering OLS to clients.

(Quote) I agree. I don't really like Virtualizor but it's been a few years I think since I've really used it. If Solus.io has awful pricing I won't be using it. Still use WHMCS... but looking at a way to migrate without causing t…

@SagnikS One of my Ryzen 3700X servers has a Toshiba KXG60ZNV1T02, the other has a Samsung MZVLB1T0HALR. i9-9900K has Samsung MZVLB1T0HALR as well. Treadripper MZQLB960HAJR. So no, not the same ones you have.

(Quote) What monitoring/alert? If it's Hetrix and you have all checks enabled it will notify you if it's doing anything like checking/resync. What did cat /proc/mdstat show? I've never had a problem with Hetzners drives.

(Quote) They're good, but if I recall that one is like $750.

Even under full load mine never got hot enough to be in throttling range, but I use 2U for all of my existing stuff. Anything in the future will be 1U though.

(Quote) They do not know the actual root cause of the problem, they are just blanketing the situation in the email.

(Quote) The majority of the boards support ECC, even many of the cheap $60-80 boards. There's no point of doing that with a super cheap board though really..

(Quote) Well the stuff I run doesn't need 4 or more NVMe drives, and the drives I use are just 1 or 2 M.2 drive configs with adapters (or 1x onboard + 1x adapter) with the rest being SATA for boot and stuff. I don't hotswap, but you can te…

ASRR boards have IPMI and cooling is nothing, I run a 16 core Ryzen on air and it's only 42*c under 70% load right now. ASRR has barebones (1U) servers for Ryzen. They are great. Anyway, good day.

(Quote) I'll be moving all of my Intel VMs to Ryzen throughout the next few months as well. Already done a little bit.
-
(Quote) Yes, and I don't say the quotes to be a dick, but there's a fair market for them and it will just grow. It's why I got some of the Ryzen stuff immediately when the ASRR boards were more available (and it's the reason why …
