this happens, if you gateway is not on the same subnet like your IP, e.g. proxmox using routed bridges you'll not be able to setup the network via the dialog, because it doesn't make it a host route automatically, even if you specify 255.2…

(Quote) no worries man, I wouldn't call it disappointed. I'd rather been surprised to see a sub $20 offer with ryzen and 1-2TB traffic in NL (notice how I do not write AMS here this time, trying to learn ;-)) from you so quickly after the …

came here. saw ryzen. saw $16/y AMS. got excited. clicked on it. saw 1c/1GB RAM, still excited. saw 500GB traffic. lost a c and exited. 🤷♂️ @seriesn you're a good guy. still rather spend an hour more or so next time, to make the offer a tad …

(Quote) thanks for having a look, considering the feedback and even changing things! (Quote) yeah, do tell me, I had to fix alignment wishes of designers a lot. probably easiest way would be to set line and min-height in em to make it depending on …

looks so much better already! and just to clarify I was not "hating" it before ;-) now I'd suggest to try and align smaller things, like: height of headlines and with that the start of text blocks, also the position of the 'read…

(Quote) I see, so you really want a purple/dark brown color scheme then? :-P

ugly as hell, both modes. you accidentically leaked a very early pre-development version, right? please get a designer or at least a proper theme ;-) no offense meant, but... someone has to be honest. ugly as hell. (Quote) you blind? or am I?

(Quote) to add to the confusion: one actually could use btrfs to act like some sort of raid ;-) I would not use btrfs for that anyway. and probably also not xfs. as @Neoon pointed out ext4 (on your mdraid) works just fine, for that you can rather …
-
I think in general the comparison is a bit... misleading. while ext4/xfs/btrfs are rather classical filesystems as such (and might have their benefits or not) - ZFS is not. but rather comparable to the usage of md-raid underneath or LVM ... which b…

(Quote) very true! I myself hate change to UX/UIs a lot. but I think this is not really addressing the question here because this only applies to very specific group of people (those who are already clients somewhere, used to a certain panel and wi…

(Quote) probably depends on how you define 'distributed' - but night-sky runs on a master server and you can add remote slaves for the actual checking. it's @Neoon'esce documented so not for the faint of heart but definitely wort…

@Fritz thanks for tagging, but I guess unless @hosthatch offers 10TB ridiculousness in London or Amsterdam on sunday I am all set and can resist other storage offers ;-) @vish best of luck this time...

you kind of missed the netcup easter offers... seems like all the small ones are gone already. (e.g. 2c/8G/160G at ~55 year) other than that first root is solid and matches your budget: https://www.first-root.de/server/vps/kvm-power-edition/#fndtn-…

(Quote) yeah depending on the problem you might need to make sure, that you react at least quickly. usually they are not a feasible provider if your client base tends to be... inconsiderate.
