(Quote) I can’t wait. Fingers crossed it happens, and soon.

(Quote) They will so long as AMD will ignore the market for smaller CPUs - E3/E equivalent, but once they release for that segment - all bets are off.

That’s Epyc.

Engineering mantra at its finest. Good job :-)

(Quote) I’m not saying it’s a huge risk to them, it’s a risk to any random Joes running hosting business if they wanted to replicate it with own coders the risk is high, Joe wants to avoid them - Joe pays Solus. Joe has a scale, money and high risk …

(Quote) Yes, but I guess that’s the price you need to pay for not having the risk and need to maintain devs yourself directly. Naturally you can write in house and it will pay for itself in the long run at scale.
-
(Quote) That was expected, dev time is not cheap. Plus they need to make up what they paid for the brand..

Yep, it exists. Just bear in mind that’s a technical preview

Run an mtr both ways, submit on the forum and you should get some assistance :-)

Nothing in companies house just yet ;-)

(Quote) Found it anyway, public info, just my laziness. (Quote) Oh look! Someone needs to cry again ? . How is your gig at HostDoc going @dahartigan ? Still breaching GDPR by processing these live chat messages ? Or are you with another host whos…

Where was it hosted at, out of curiosity ?

(Quote) Way less, you achieve both with a single SQL query. Don’t even need to specify the “where” part given the situation.

Looks like OP is looking to offer the service, not buy it. OP, given you need to ask this question on a forum, I implore you to revise your business plan before it’s too late.

(Quote) There are reliable providers on this forums, just saying. Just stop hunting the non-existent bargain.

(Quote) You still haven’t blocked them? Wow.

We hope you consider us in the future, would love to have you on board!

In Amsterdam can probably do the 6 Core Xeon, 16GB memory and NVMe for £55 incl. DA, can discuss more via PM :-)?
-
How can we help?
-
Good luck! I’d say you have escalation through your payment provider but that would nuke your account with them, so not really an option... :-(

(Quote) Illegal in the UK, possibly EU-wide; depending where you purchased and which contract/laws apply to your use case.

You’ll need to complaint if you want a refund. Completely unprofessional on their part if they indeed provide no notice other than the invoice.

Juniper house here. For what’s worth. Telia is going massive Cisco in the core on IOS XR with the new routers and new line adds with 400G ports. They just released PR about it.

(Quote) ^ yeah.
-
(Quote) Yeah but going after the price alone and using the same soho as everyone else means you compete on price alone, and there’ll always be a HostDoc cheaper than you, which will always win with you on price (at least until they die but then thei…
-
(Quote) Nah, definitely not as much. Hardware is, but you get what you pay for, in this case an actual server not a soho.

Who will be the first to offer VMs out of our location at FR6 :-)?
-
(Quote) This doesn’t affect as many 1TB ones, 256 and 512 however are/were a problem
-
That’s the general opinion and the one I share. I understand the problem here is the CPU frequency @AnthonySmith seems to need high clock and less cores rather than a lot more cores but a lower clock.

(Quote) I mean yeah, I narrowed it down to some of them being particularly sensitive to running hot, so if you had a “less resilient” drive, and you hammered it, you would run it hot and then through your own use you’d destroy it, but hey, this wasn…
