From the order page, it's until the very precise date of the heat death of the universe:

    -% the first 9007199254740991 months

(edit: very obviously an error, in hex it's 0x1F,FFFF,FFFF,FFFF)

More likely lifetime and it's just out of bounds/overflow/null type of error. Just screenshot those 9007199254740991 months and they fight with support if they charge more!

There are some what conflicting statements on this subject on the bottom of the promo page.

OVHcloud promotional pricing will remain in place for the life of the subscription or as indicated in the terms of the promotion.
Discount is subject to change without notice and may be suspended or terminated at any time.

and time to split this off into a new thread as I expect others might be interested in this promo

  • As a note, it looks like you can actually change the billing to yearly and it still gives the same 77% price off.

If this is indeed $0.97 without taxes, I may get a completely free VPS, until either OVH or Barclays cuts me off.

Come on, I can agree it's not Ryzen + NVMe level kind of performance, but it's not useless either - have you seen the GB posted inside this thread? The specs are enough to test a lot of things (arguably, even single node Kubernetes - the lightweight variety, k0s, k3s or microk8s)

And since it's OVH and not some summer host, you can most likely expect it to be more stable than not

with their servers, you just disable auto-renew and they will suspend the service, then delete the service, it may be the same for VPS

    Yo chap, ya're literally everywhere!

Yes I am... and I know what you did last summer, but don't worry I will not tell anybody.

  • This is almost on par with HostHatch black friday a few years ago, same specs for $10.50/year (but many more location choices and 10Gbit capped). I'm tempted to cancel my HostHatch boxes and replace them with this, it would be way more usable for my Kubernetes cluster... 🤔
