Hello @Mr_Tom ,
Can you tell me what kind of CPU is used for this VM, is it free to DirectAdmin or not?
And you give me IP test or looking glass page.
Thank you very much!

Very interesting!

Complimentary/included?
Or how does it work/what does it cost?
Manual snapshots, or can it be automated?
Manual snapshots but you can have up to 3 at a time. Included in the price.
It probably would be a good idea to put the price of the second offer

oh dear
@Mr_Tom what happened?
Thanks @vyas
@ehab a mix of things all hit at the same time, which means as mentioned that it makes it difficult to provide the level of support and service expected. I looked a couple of options of bringing people in/changing structure etc but ultimately it wasn't the right time.
i suggest you refund/prorate etc .. who ever needs it, then just pause sales / don't close the business, then when time is right and you are balanced again just come back and continue.
Every one will appreciate and lovers will come back? so just take a break for now. consider it a parent leave
That's already being worked out for those who need it.
It's a good shout and one I considered - but ultimately I wouldn't want people to feel like that might get let down again in the future.
@Mr_Tom one last heart beat
did you try to sale the business to a worthy provider?
The Smart* has acquired a number of providers in the past.
Maybe worth reaching out.

It's a bummer, since I had such a solid 4 TB offer from OGF - shoutout to @Nekki:
Wishing you luck in any future endeavors @Mr_Tom
Even if Tom wanted to do that, I imagine it would take too much time anyways, since it's relatively short notice (~1 month) before the closure.

Thanks @Decicus
The option of looking for someone to acquire clients was looked at - my concern was data protection/etc. And while acquisitions happen all the time I wouldn't want to transfer client data to another non-UK/EU provider without thoroughly looking at options.
While I understand it's inconvenient to have to move services, people can chose where they go.
Just did fresh YABS. I'll really miss it...
Folks
Closing a business isn’t easy, as some of you may know. I have a difficult call this evening with my accountant on the very topic. Customers, anxiety, employees, bills, reputation, paperwork to fill… lots to take care of.
@Mr_Tom ,
I am sure you considered all possible options before pulling the plug
Cheers.

Damn.. best of luck in your future endeavours, mate
Hope you stick around! The business is definitely a difficult one. I am happy that for Web Design, most of my gigs/jobs are one-off and later hourly billed support/modifications, for the most part. I considered to add managed hosting to the mix many times, but it wouldn't really fit into my schedule (web design + "tech support", that is).

It's probably not the right place or time, but I would be interested into providers who are considering to sell their VPS and/or hosting businesses. Please drop me a message before you decide to pull the plug.
Wishing @Mr_Tom all the best with their next venture.

Damn. Well If you want to look at some options again...Maybe we can still figure out a continuity plan... - you know how to get in touch.
it hurts. looking for refugee 3TB storage in Europe, ideally zfs or something ssd-cached, 2c/4GB, $84 yearly... anyone?
Another one bite the dust. So much for charging additional $200 for the provider tag.
I dont belive that is related in the slightest. At least not from my last communications with tom.
Yeah definitely not related to this.
While I was a little vocal initially on OGF against the idea - most of that was down to how it was handled.
I have sent you a message on discord with a few things to consider. I know you are probably downing in work right now. But Let me know if i can help out in any shape/way.
Thanks. Will head over and check shortly.
I wish you the best luck mate in your future projects and hope everything well is in your life.
I also support @SGraf , might look at some options to move your clientele at a trusted provider mate.

Actually my point is, even without the $200 annually, lowend provider have more than enough on their plate. I know it's not because the $200 that makes you go out of business.
@seriesn
Cue for
Refugee offer thread.
Not being sarcastic, a few posts suggest need for one. Over to you

We would indeed be interested, and do have multiple UK entities that we could run the acquisition thru, since that was your preference. Reach out to [email protected] if interested in discussing this...
