    It probably would be a good idea to put the price of the second offer

    It is with great regret that this notice is to inform you of the closure of VM Specialist and as such cancellation of all services going forward. This will happen on the 30th April 2022.

    If you have any services which renew before this date, they will be extended free of charge to allow backups to be taken. If you have any pre-paid services you will be contacted separately about a pro-rata refund. We are happy to provide disk images of your virtual server if required.

    Unfortunately certain circumstances mean we're not able to offer the support and level of service required going forward.

    @ehab a mix of things all hit at the same time, which means as mentioned that it makes it difficult to provide the level of support and service expected. I looked a couple of options of bringing people in/changing structure etc but ultimately it wasn't the right time.

    It's a good shout and one I considered - but ultimately I wouldn't want people to feel like that might get let down again in the future.

    The option of looking for someone to acquire clients was looked at - my concern was data protection/etc. And while acquisitions happen all the time I wouldn't want to transfer client data to another non-UK/EU provider without thoroughly looking at options.

    While I understand it's inconvenient to have to move services, people can chose where they go.

    Damn.. best of luck in your future endeavours, mate :) Hope you stick around! The business is definitely a difficult one. I am happy that for Web Design, most of my gigs/jobs are one-off and later hourly billed support/modifications, for the most part. I considered to add managed hosting to the mix many times, but it wouldn't really fit into my schedule (web design + "tech support", that is).

    Actually my point is, even without the $200 annually, lowend provider have more than enough on their plate. I know it's not because the $200 that makes you go out of business.
